Hello people in the house. I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this kind of question.

Can someone get a Uber trip from the Lagos Muritala airport if the flight land in Nigeria by let’s say 3:00am in the morning?

I read something online that the airport authorities barred Uber drivers from the airport so I’m confused about that.

I'd suggest you bargain with someone here to come wait for you at that time and you two do things like normal.

Sonething happened Todaygrin I dropped off and picked up from the airport. I explained to rider I was to pick up of the situation and gave him a suggestion of acting like he knew me. Or he better walk all distance to Oshodi to meet me.

He chosed option A. Na so I stop for lot halla.. Him just dey laugh as I dey hail am. Even the uber guys wey position sef begin laugh.

After Trip I just close go house go knee down thank God for a job well done.

Don’t worry it’s good you have an intention to come into the hustle soon I only pray it’s sooner by then you’ll should understand better that things work better than said. By then you should understand it’s wrong to ask your rider on phone weather it’s card or cash trip, by then you would understood it even wrong to ask your rider h/h destination so long it’s not past 9pm by then also you would understand why you as a driver will only Know it’s a card trip just after starting the trip, by then you would understand how painful it is to swallow your pride as a MSc/BSc/B.Eng holder driving some worthless girls call “runs” girls who the only thing they know how to do best is pure the pains they get from all their clients on the guy who chose to do a legit hustle, by then you would understand many more bro by then you will understand.

Start now please I beg you

Read and understand my post. Never said ask anything through phone.

Don't put words in my mouth.

For the past 3 days now I've not gotten any request on OCar, my driver manager sent an in app message that anyone who hasn't been getting request should dropped their phone number. I did, still no show.

that your driver is either a new driver or a born-again. I won't say much since you'll join the hustle soon. You'll come back here to apologize to the driver. Who no go no go know.

And what are you trying to say... That you started a trip and ended the trip, which then caused the rider to be charged is fare? And taking his money without giving the service which you have been credited for is cool.

That's pure ripping off by tricks.

If you have accepted a trip without enquiring weda it's a card or cash trip due to reasons beat known to you, then you must complete the trip. There is no need forming a bully on this.

That's how I see it. Moreover, if you were the rider you no go gree.

Good day Elders in the house,
I've been a silent dedicated follower of this thread for almost a year now, I've finally decided to put my foot down and start this hustle come January.
The restraint I have presently is capital to start, I can only afford a maximum of 600k as starting capital which I've saved up for sometime, and with that I have two open offers of naija used cars

1. Honda Accord (E. O. D) years: 2003 & 2004 between 450 - 600k

2. Kia Cerato 2008 between 450 - 500k

Please advice me on what step to take, as I prefer to be an owner driver or partner.

Please anyone with an offer of cars for sale falling within the price range that is also usable for the hustle, please give me heads up

I'm already on 30 trips on Bolt. So my commission is 10%

From the look of things Opay looks like another bolt if not worse. See no reason why entering into an already competitive market and your app is learning like from scratch. No toll inclusive, rider can't add stop or change destination in between ride and should you take rider to a different destination it counted as fraud. The driver app it self comes as a third party app. Without thier bonus they just might struggle.

You people can never be satisfied.. Uber you people complain slavery, commission too low, request too low and the list goes on and on. U now have a new company to shake things up ..because of Ocar uber and co are now behaving themselves, because of Ocar drivers are making money.. Because of Ocar now ,the market is regulated itself, at least things seems to be getting better now.. A lot of you drivers what you make a day is what some make in a month.. Be patient and Ocar will sort itself out ....Be patient

On my way back from lekki last night. Set destination to yaba after I don chop fish for aboki place by GTBank phase 1. Request came.
After 5mins

Caller: Oga where are you?!
Me: Good Evening.
Caller: Oga where are you?!!
Me: Are we fighting?
Caller: What do you mean? I said where are you Oga??
Me: Phase 1
Caller: come fast we are going to surulere
Me: okay

Got there. Saw her and her friends. She called.

Oga drive forward, since we have been waiting. Or I should call you 100 times before you come.
I came out of the car, left the hazard on and was strolling up and down stretching my legs.

She called again. I picked. OGA!! ARE YOU NOT THW TAXIFY DRIVER?! WHY ARE YOU LAZING ABOUT? If you're not going tell me.

I kept quiet. Till she finished and they walked up to where I was standing.

Oga are you not Mr. Chassis? I said yes I'm. Then why all these rubbish. You will pick my call and not say nothing bla bla bla. I just told her... Babe, no matter what you're passing thru, attitude is a virtue.

Goodnight.

I no cancel. She no cancel. I drove till Maryland nothing. Na so I help her cancel am.

I'm trying to understand the first rude attitude from the rider that made you act the way you did.

"Oga, where are you" to me is nothing to be disturbed about. Or is it the fact that she didn't respond to your greetings?

I once carried a lady and as we were about to stop at her location, she asked for my account number to make transfer. I told her that I cannot know the trip amount unless I end the trip and the girl was like "who asked you that one?" in a very demeaning way.

Trust me, I pretended like I did not hear her.

You go to the bank and talk to tellers and customer service anyhow, call MTN or other network providers customer service and start screaming even before they say anything, yet, they're patient enough to hear you out.

So, why can't you be tolerant to your customers behavior?

I don't know if it's the fact that drivers here applaud this type of unprofessional behavior or the fact that the ehailing companies in Nigeria are after the competition and not much care about the driver-rider relationships.

What did you gain as you did that? Mind you, that person you spoke to is a lady. She could think through that incident for a whole three days.

Please, let's learn to be tolerant. You are providing a public service and should understand that not all customers will behave responsibly. Even in America, there are some crazy people out there.

Guys using opay will need to be careful.
Tried logging in this morning only to see this. The only trip I took yesterday on it was from badore road to phase 1. And due to the fact that I just passed the round-about towards ajah bridge, the rider suggested that she will take keke to meet me. Started trip when she came to addo road and saw a notification that the trip will be checked to know if I actually took the rider, only to see this message this morning.
So guys use the app at your discretion as the destination and pickup location the rider enters is important to them.

These ones are not anywhere close to ready. Dem be money miss road

The only reasons riders use OCar is cos of the discounts, and the only reasons drivers do too is cos of the Bonuses. If/When their bonuses and discounts stops, they will be on a looooooong thing.

Well I cant exactly give advice which of the vehicles to go for it all comes down to your personality, I personally prefer a feel of luxury especially interior and the Honda offers leather interior and a more executive feel.
With all your lectures on how to make plenty money on ehailing you still recommend EOD for the biz? grin

"Oga" in Nigerian Uber context means ; an uneducated employee that u don't want to respect, u just call him d oga so u don't sound rude.
Don't call me oga, I'm not an uneducated person, neither am I Ur employee, and definitely we are not mates, u are either older or I am. So let's just respect ourselves the civil way.

This I did not know. I thought it was the casual equivalent of "sir" and use it all the time in that manner undecided

Any car within this price range will turned you to a partner with

(Taiye) Electrician
(Chidi) Panel beater
(Sulemon) Mechanic
(Segun) Spray painter
(Alfa) AC man
(Oga Mike) Gear Master
Uche (Engine oil)
Nnamdi (Suspension)

These are just the few numbers that will be on your phone.

That many people for one car? That's the problem with car repair in Nigeria shocked
