do you have some nice deals below 500k I can use for uber? That won't give me issues?

With such budget expect a 9ja used car and be ready to fix some issues and you should be fine. But I highly recommend you go inspect with a professional mechanic

8 cars! Thats too much to test the water.
I dont believe in impossibilties, as what went wrong for mr A might favour mr B.
But why not just try with 1 or 2 cars to be sure of the lucrativity?
Based on my figure weekly, if im on either rental or Hp. Its a win-win to both parties.
The key is getting a sane and God fearing drivers.
Atimes, the drivers that drives d cars determine how lucrative the business is( if he is God fearing careful driver, you will last long in the biz), and how well u pay attention to the maintenance of the cars too determines it.

This is the best advice, you really hit the nail on the head,
Thanks

A partner of mine wants us to invest in UBER, from my feasibility studies it seems to be fairly lucrative as I’ve driven in Lagos for a while, to see what it’s like, however locals seem to advice me strongly against investing in this line of business, we want to try the market with 8 cars initially as a test, I’ll like to hear the views of drivers abt renting cars to UBER drivers, N30k we will be fully responsible for all repairs.
Your candid Advise will be appreciated,
Thanks

the key to the success is the driver...i don't know how deep is your pocket...why not start with three...

I think there should be a general rule before putting up defaulting riders numbers for call-to-shame.

This is my guided opinion..

Give at least 24hours grace: this should be enough for you to asertian if the rider is willing or not willing to pay. For heaven sake, it is the drivers right and he is entitled to either receive his money or receive and explanation from the rider why his money is being delayed. Driver should also have tried to contact the debtor to see asertian the delay in payment or the intentions of the rider.

Stupid reasons like :
-I can only send to a particular bank/account. You should have said that from the start and I will either consent or decline of it suits
-i am very busy now and will do it later (please was your ride delayed?)
- I am waiting for a price review. (Ok what if it was the other way round and the driver wants a price review, will they wait).

And several others should not be entertained abeg.

Let not make riders do this to one as they will spread it to others.

Just the way ehailing are purging out wrong drivers wrong riders should also be discourage from using bolt else it will become a norm and riders will start owing passenger in the notion of I did it to your colleagues and he did not talk.

On Friday night, I go an order from a guy in an estate, he wanted to ship over 20 girls to a club not too far from the estate.
As I arrived he to them to enter in batches of 6 to save time.
As 2 in front and 4 in back.
Before I knew it, I have blasted them "I ONLY PICK 4 Persons"
One of the girls rudely just interrupted when taxify driver start to dey do yanga.

Promptly, I told her Get the hell down. my English was so posh the dey all went silent.

My point is: she must have been encountering drivers that take shit.

Me I don't have time for unruly riders,

Order a car and first husky voice u will hear ....
Where are u?..... cum fast?... Shoir ... Oya lie down now.... As Na u buy car gimme

Lagos is a sweet market for anything because we are a diverse people, same thing for other big cities around the world.

If you intend to invest that big in ehailing, you need to approach it from another angle.
