That car was like putting a squirrel into one's pocket, it dug deep into my pants which in turn made a grown man cry. My efforts to trade it have been futile until someone offered 400k recently. I have pleaded with him to round it up to 500k, so i can move on and count my losses like the fellow who sold 2008 Volkswagen Passat for 800k.

Thank God for your life. So you intend using your brother’s car or you got another?

AC is the main killer in this job.

And the only thing I achieved yesterday was paying some good fraction of my bolt debt.

Since yesterday was Friday I decided to drive base on some indicators which point to a bullish out at the end of the day.

Most people would want to go out and get money for the weekend.
Most people working on the island would want to come back home after their usual 1week around their offices.
Demands for humanitarian workers "olosho" is usually every Fridays.
Last opening day for market in the week.
et el.

Put on bolt apps which is uber and taxify. Mind you I didnt go out on Thursdays at all apart from driving to refuel at the filling station. I bought N1k fuel.

Now see how your AC is the main reason drivers are not netting reasonable income.

With approximately N1500 in my tank I didn't want to leave the house unless a request comes in, so, 1st request came in after about 1hr on taxify.

At first I was reluctant but drove to PU believing I could convince rider to go on offtrip since I was owning bolt N12,212. But unfortunately rider disagreed, its was a 3rd party ride. I didnt wanna start my day with paying debt knowing fully well I'm having just about N1500 pms in my tank with no other cash on me. So I drove off. That trip would have ended N2+. But no worries! I was positive to have a good day and I truly did.

The 2nd request came in on uber that would have been my 13th trip on uber for the week. Trip started without AC but as the traffic was building up with so much dust and heat and i notice rider(he) was contious with his phone and was sweating vigorously I then decided to put on the AC. Trip was from Scheme 1, Oko Oba,Agege to inside berger. Trip ended N1900

The next trip came in while I was get to end the 1st. At this time I didnt use AC but was a short trip still within inside Berger. The lady paid N500 still cash.

Drove from inside berger around the FRSC to ADDAS SuperMat Agidingbin, parked in their car lot for about 40min then the 3rd came in, babe was going to Adeniji Jones and trip ended N700 cash.
Still no AC.

I then on the AC a little due to traffic and drove, waited for some minutes with no show, driving to ikeja along a delivery trip to Osborne offshore estate, Ikoyi. No AC still and trip ended N2500.

Atbthis point my fuel indicator was then showing. Drove from there to NNPC b4 falomo. Bought N1500. Drove down to falomo close to the bridge then a trip came in on taxify, destination- Ajah.

Now; lets do the math.
All trips where cash uber trips.
1st trip = 1900
2nd trip = 500
3rd trip = 700
4th trip = 2500

Total = 4600.
Estimated fuel in Naira (N)= 1500.

Which brand of car do you drive.
Do you think a Camry 2003 will do all that trip with N1500fuel

It’s even the rider that should b scared of the random drivers.

grin. We are tired of using mask. We no dey fear Covid19 again. Everyday NCDC will be updating their score board of people who died and recovered. Common malaria symptoms they will say is corona virus. I am beginning to suspect our government. They are cashing out on us bigtime. Nigerian Billionaires donated billions of Naira to FG, IMF gave $3.7 billion dollars to them recently. E.U donated $50 million dollars. Oga Gazz, corona virus is not in Nigeria, they should stop deceiving us. If there is corona virus is in this country the way people will be dying on the streets will be scary. It's all wash. All nah wash. They should sha not kill the economy all in the name of lock down and social distancing. Me I have set out to accomplish big things this 2020.

I will not say corona is not in Nigeria but with how we have projected doom for lagos becuase of many unknown carriers due to low or no testing since the first COVID case was established and coupled with how lackadaisical many were during the lockdown, we say people doing exercises on major roads in mass, one will have expected lagos to be messy by now. I don't think the virus is that lethal here as we assume. A lot of us might have had it and recover, unknown to us.

Majority of those who are positive are even asymptomatic. Can we see the initial noise about nigeria having few ventilators has died?

I am beginning to support those that say this virus in Nigeria is not worth killing our economy over. I doubt if western world will have shut down their economy if their index cases were like the ones we have in Nigeria.

COVID is real but we can learn to live with the virus and revive our economy. It isn't as lethal here as we all feared initially.

Earlier this week, I was sick, headache, sour throat, catarrh. I was sure if I went for testing, I would be tested covid positive. I only took paracetamol for few days and I am Okay now and well.

Chai, COVID is a bastard. Every sickness now is a suspect.

You mean he should go back and collect the photocopy ? What could be the implication of ignoring it.
I done leave my photocopy with police once, but never cared. I have 3 copies in d car.

But the one that bothers me is FRSC

I was given a ticket because d babe beside me didn't use seat belt.
Ticket 2k they took the original vehicle license (I just renewed it that week). Told me to go and pay on Monday because it was a Saturday.

Went to first bank to pay on Monday , cashier checked and said road safety site or link is down I should check back next day.
Two days after I went same story. I tried another branch same story. Na so I forgot about it, but Fortunately i wrapped d 2k cash and first bank teller together.

2 months after as I was driving out from stadium towards Iponri/ Eko bridge, their car was just parking and they were coming out. So I was the first car they saw and just stopped me and the man behind me.
I was sweating inside AC ...

immediately they said oga bring your papers I just jejely brought out the ticket, teller and cash that it's bank network o.

The man say ahhh I said bring your papers u bringing ticket ? He now looked and said, oh we have arrested you before and u didn't go to pay na so he call him oga say see this man bla bla. Na so I begin beg oga say I no dey Lagos I just come back and na bank cos am, dt I filled the teller.
D oga said my money will be increasing every day and I will pay more to collect my papers.

To cut long story short I couldn't pay, till I misplaced d teller and spent d money.
I renewed my license d next year and moved on.

But I feel concerned, don't know if they still have it in their records though, it was 2016.

ThAts why I'm asking why you want him to still go back to collect photocopy
For like a week now I've not been able to laugh due to serious malaria but you just broke the barrier now...lolzzz

FRSC officials have seized about 2 original copies of my DL, one in Delta State another in Lagos.

Reason I always do plenty photocopy and laminate and then have a snap copy in my phone and email then I resulted in keeping the original at home after my 2nd experience. I didn't pay the fine and I drove pass them daily.

I don drive leave my car documents times without number with police, I always have like 3-4 copies on my car.

I learnt the hard way on Lagos Benin road about 8yrs ago.

This police guy stopped me, collected my paper unknowing to me he detached one of my papers and said my document are not complete. The next thing he stopped another private car with Lagos No then asked me to compare. I weak like weaklow that day.

Another occassion, after checking to see everything was intact he just decided to waste my time...

I just simply enter my car drove off. That one is their copy me i get extra inside car, under my seat, inside peagon hole, all over the place.

You need to be mad to drive on Nigeria road.

Have you heard of people testing negative and later turned positive or reinfected?
Sure your colleague will be on 14 days self isolation after testing negative.
As it is, Nigerians are no more afraid of Covid19.
We believe it's a scam. Let's see

Lol @scam... I don't believe it's scam, I just feel the weather out here makes it less effective on us, too many people have it, but weren't aware cos they r still living normal. Putting all factor together, after weeks of carelessness and waiting in queue restlessly for it to take it tow on us, but it seems like normal malaria, so why lockdown because of headache and malaria? Las las folks have choose to leave with it and treat it if d eventual later happens. Funny country, I remember how everyone is scared when we have 1 to 109 cases, noe at 5k plus and its seem like, who cares?

Yes I understand, you know average Nigerian immune system is used to malaria so it's not easy for corona to take charge but the main problem is those having underlying sickness.
Uber bolt drivers needs to be extra careful cos it can enter through eyes and ears too.
So protecting nose and not eyes is 50/50

Pardon my ignorance cos I always here come in contact with and now you've said it can enter thro eyes and ears... Is the virus airborne? Or it takes the droplet from one person to another for transmission to take place?

If an infected person speaks, droplets escapes from the person’s mouth and can remain in the air for more than 4 hours according to them.

So yea it can get in through the eyes, not just by touching your eyes with an infected hand.

Oga, covid 19 is very real here in Nigeria. I carried a Rider who told me she's lost 4 of her relatives to the virus. 3 outside the country and 1 here. She said it's not a funny experience.

It is not malaria symptoms o. Difficulty in breathing is not a symptom of malaria. The virus is real abeg. Let's take every precaution to avoid it.
