Every business is feeling the impact of fuel subsidy removal ,due to increase in transport cost, feeding cost, every driver is adjusting one way or the other.

By the way,I went to Mobil filling station along ijesha road, bought fuel and also request for the price of Mobil 1 as I will be due for service next month na 49,500k for 5 litres,I can still remember buying Mobil 1 for just 16k just in 2019.maybe in the year 2028 na 90 k.

Omo I just laff enter my car drive off,na too stick with my aisin or mannol German oil remain

Ehailing in lagos is dead cool yes its true. It is totally dead.

Once upon a time when people like pearl and cheerful were posting huge dashboards to motivate others we never knew that some few ones already knew ehailing was on its last legs and dangling by a thread.

They were seriously advising other Drivers to stop listening to dubious posters that call themselves drivers on this thread showing fake dashboards and port to something better or suffer for life and risk losing their eyesight and proper body posture in the course of driving.

After all, back then ehailing was already terribly unprofitable to those same set of people, then out of nowhere, Tinubu and his governance came into the picture and has finally killed off ehailing for good.

But in the end we still give proper and major thanks to the Almighty cheesy all because after the advices and bants (coming from the usual suspects) concerning the wellbeing of their fellow struggling Drivers and their families on this thread . . .

most Drivers are wiser now
They have applied for and secured good salaried jobs

many Drivers are more focused today
They have all learnt soft tech skills and are landing lucrative remote work contracts

past Drivers are prudent now
No more buying fuel anyhow and checking mpgs everyday just to be moving the whole of lagos upandan. Now they move just themselves and families

all the stubborn Drivers went broke
They have sold off their vehicles and gone back to their villages

So coming to this thread today to seek updated knowledge concerning everyday ehailing struggles in lagos is no longer possible. Nobody drives on ehailing again. Everybody has moved on to greater things, taking helicopter from lekki to ikeja. . . or are treking, cycling, Jumping danfo and flying bike upandan or are just plain broke.

If you are outside on the road and see any corolla or civic carrying someone it's definitely private and all the moove suzukis you see have been privatised. That's the reality some people here want us to accept. Their insider source told them that Uber is getting ready to shutdown operations in nigeria, bolt have already threaded water long enough and Indrive is just . . . there, let's not even talk about rida.

Infact if you're coming to tbis thread today it's just to reminisce about old times and reach out to people you miss who you haven't seen their posts in a while like a few members do these days . Just to check if people are still alive or dead . . . Then the other member might come out and post stuff like "I am fine, just busy travelling for work and getting major allowances. Too busy to post " and that will be the end of their discussion till when loneliness triggers another call-out between them.

This is the current reality on the nairaland lagos uber thread today AND WE ARE TOTALLY HAPPY AND CONTENTED WITH THE SITUATION OF THE TREAD

So please, newbies seeking information should start from page one and read up to page 5000, anyone who has a question can post and pray the 'serious' drivers take out time to reply their posts and the old usual members can continue using this thread as their avenue to relieve stress and pass time with their cruise and bants. After giving so much information and experience for the past 7 years and over 5000 pages on this thread they believe they have earned the right to do with this thread as they please. It is not their fault that stubborn or less fortunate drivers hadn't moved on to other businesses or professional engagements since all the months that they had been shouting and warning, so let nobody blame them.

Instead blame yourselves for still attempting to invest in or are still driving on any ehailing platforms in nigeria after all the warnings the more experienced ones gave here or still attempting to come here for information, tips and tricks concerning ehailng.

So when people wonder why the thread has suddenlygone cold and dead, why drivers no longer post or update stuff here . . . It is simply because THEY HAVE ALL MOVED ON and I think you should do so too wink

You failed. Stop writing long thesis on matters you have little or no knowledge about. These are things that are beyond your comprehension when it comes to this business.

Me saying that I won't quote you again was only just a decoy. I can't read such nonsense and pretend not to have seen it.

Corolla will not come down. Personally I don't like it, it's just basic no luxury to warrant me paying 6m for it. Even the fuel efficiency they attached to it to make it appear good is not the best in the market when compared to other cars with 1.8L

But to each one his own.

My MB C200k has a 1.8l as d Corolla yet the Iver hype Corolla is no where close to where fuel economy where my kompressor is
