To those of you uber drivers who think you can talk to uber riders any how and cancel their trip for a cancellation fee of 750, one of you has just been suspended for 3 months.

now he will be joining the other uber rejects on taxify and making life even harder for taxify and it's platform with over populated drivers.

What is your problem with people on Taxify and Taxify. You think if everybody is on Uber you will make the sweat money you make. You just like to talk with your anus. Go and take immodium for your mouth diarrhea.

A bad driver is a bad driver. You that you are talking have not collected cancellation money before?

Hello good evening. Please am thinking of putting a corolla 06 into uber on hire purchase terms. How much do you think is fair to give out this car on hire purchase and how much is fair to be paid weekly for this. Thank you so much for your anticipated response
I am interested in your offer ma'am

@Romeo

So I just collected a uber ride that has passed the inspection. I'm a new driver, what's next? I'm trying to add the car as the one I'd be driving on my dashboard but I'm not getting it right. What am I doing wrongly?
Thanks

Lol

I am only doing you a favor. Since you dont know your worth. When people went on strike you called them lazy because they rejected exploitation. Someone who was grossing 180k per week is now lazy because he rejected Uber Exploitation.
If we didnt have people like you on the surface of the earth Uber would have adjusted there fares.

Uber should be given "dubious credit" for thinking deeply about human society, to create such a business model.
On inception, they used incentive rates and promos to suck in HIGH prime investors at LOW coverage, build, and later transverse to LOW prime investors at HIGH coverage.
Ubers MAIN primary targetX FROM DAY1 was to always have drivers having financial challenges or of low "credit score ratings" (no salary, no collateral, etc)
Its like them choosing to hire low income staff, firing others, now that they are popular and accepted.
Uber has achieved that target now and moved on, so best NOT to expect a voluntary change, as thats the business model.

If you are not in this model primary targetX, and found yourself in Uber; poor you, as Uber has moved on. You may have to form a
Union (this should have been done from inception) to pressure Uber; or remain and forever grumble at the "peanuts" you are getting plus
a low "ROI"; or exist Uber by HP/sell cars.

As buttressed in that last Video, if you have financial challenges or very low "credit score ratings" (targetX) you can only get a Loan from a loan Shack at high "forwarded" interest rate. Stock market, Bonds, Banks, MFB, even friend borrow, are out of reach.

As with a loan Shack, you are exploited, as you have to work extra Harder to pay back at 60%/yr interest, as compared to a regular bank at 30%/yr. (A N2.6Million Corrolla, and paying back N3.5 Million@N45K/week = 60% interest/yr).

If you are in this primary targetX, then you have fewer choices, so why not; nobody would borrow you money anyway so Uber driver "break" could work for you.
Do HP driver (than just driver); work hard, SAVE VERY HARD, but note that Uber has a low return on investment(ROI).

If you want to still keep your car and get a driver only, sit at home to collect weekly "deliver", then Uber may NOT work for you!
The guys that think they can build a pool of cars in future, have not sensed that its a LOOP. You too will now LOOP and have to also do HP for other upcoming drivers, as the driver only option, is usually stressful and not profitable eventually.

If you want to buy cars to get HP Drivers, well, this could work, 60% ROI, but with some risk.
If you want to drive your own bought car; work hard, SAVE VERY HARD, but note Uber has a low ROI and so you will only be happy if you are in the primary targetX
Different strokes, for different folks......Good luck!

Romeo3 need brain surgery to understand all you said above. As long as hes making money. he is ok

The best thing is for Partners to form Union and attack Uber.
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by lexylexy(m): 7:02pm On Jun 02, 2017
I believe Uber will soon raise their prices. The fact that it's more profitable to cancel trips than going on the actual trip itself is a huge flaw.

most riders I pick these days always complain about the cancellation fee. even some of them refuse to pay the 1k, claiming the driver cancelled the trip. Some just delete the app straight.

So, Uber really need to look into this anomaly before it wrecks them.

I think I've really got where you're coming from. Why is it difficult to have an association of uber drivers or partners? I believe Roneo3 & everyone else will benefit more. If they rescinded their lower prices in Kenya then they can do it here. And why can't drivers know destination from request? Someone has to champion a union & liaise with law makers in Lagos. Initially not everyone will understand but as time goes on they will catch up. Not everybody supported Zik & Awolowo when they began the fight for independence but they later joined. So it is with any good struggle. Don't focus on the Romeo3s alone. I want to join uber for a win win business not a win lose for them.

V6 would only work for uber if the owner is driving it himself or demands 25k weekly.

it's not by force to join or to remain in uber...

Uber might never raise their prices, uber will profit more with reduced rate, alot of people are now demanding Uber, even tomato market women are now demanding Uber to carry their tomatoes and pepper from Mile 12..

The only way to stop Uber from this exploitation is partners united, maybe form a union, which is impossible under Uber policy.

Maybe taxify should offer free ride to riders, and still pay driver the normal amount, maybe that will help get plenty of riders.

For now Uber job is for real super hard working drivers.

Just so we know, the Math in this youtube video so you're saying you were able to rack up all that uber mileage on the car and still sell it off for a profit of 200k 10 months down the line??

doean't add up. Figures can be manipulated in any way to tell any story. Here's another set of figures I happen to be conversant about. This dude in my estate started out on Uber with a Toyota Yaris, hire purchase - #1.2 million. He paid up fully in 10 months; sold the Yaris for #1.4 million and bought a 2009 Camry which he uses now. Let's not forget that he was also able to pay his bills in those 10 months. So how do we cast this true story in the light of this youtube math? My point is this - if you really understand what you are doing, you can be well ahead in this Uber business ... trust me

One thing people are over looking is the fuel economy of the vehicle. Due to 40% price reduction only cars with very good fuel economy are financially suited for uber. i am referring to cars within the range of 1.8 litre engines like Toyota Yaris, Kia Rio e.t.c ,of course the driver still has to work at least 10 hours and above to meet up his obligations.

Still uber pays, but u have to put in the work with cars that have good fuel economy.

before the price slash i used to drive for over 45 mins in some instances before the next trip.

but right now i do 10 trips at a stretch because the next trip is always waiting for me.

the people talking nonsense about uber right now on this thread are people who have never driven under the new system.

the are calculator pressing specialists... they will sit behind a calculator and dream up numbers and permutate what they think would happen.

they will never speak from experience.

you should pay them no heed. grin

we that are on ground and driving know whats up.
