Hello house,
I've been a silent reader for ages, right from part one to date. I learnt a lot from this forum and kudos to all the intelligent researchers and posters. I have finally filled my visa form and am going for interview next week along with my DH. Am trying to educate my DH on how to answer vo questions and his not a very willing student in fact his Stubborn! Am bent on it sha cos he can't afford to jeopardise my chances.
am trusting God for express favour, am expecting our first after four yrs of marriage.
Planning on going to Houston, and staying with my besty who is a nurse, has her house and is a legal resident.
Am coming to share a successful interview story!!!!

the v.o that interviewed me took her time even issued a nanny visa then the old woman before me she didn't issue her a visa o, the men were not smiling today though, the women were the ones God sent, but I noticed couples were denied today no be small thing then the single ones were granted because I was really delayed before being attended to

Yer, I had the same vibes. The women were more relaxed and took their time. The men were just uptight

LadyG,please try diamond bank hq. I know for sure that they have but not too sure if they are selling to everyone. If you know anyone that works with diamond, plead with the person very well or you can just enter the bank and beg them . Also Union bank, marina is selling too but you have to have account with them.

I have decided that w would be going to the bank everyday till friday.

They have all u need is to persuade them moderately but by Thursday I intend pulling an orubebe on the entire staff and customers

Mum got her white paper today at Abuja Embassey, she narrated the film she acted when the vo didn't give her her passport and only gave her a paper ( black and white for that matter), what would she do with that? She made everyone laugh so hard.
Thank God for the positive story.
And to everyone who has contributed to this thread making it information rich for newbies, more power to your elbows, the God of reward shall answer your prayers and reward you abundantly.

I used GHC for my first baby and they collected 10k for medical report. I don't know if the price is still same or it has changed. Even d fit to fly was expensive, can't remember now but I think it was also 10k.

True talk. When DW swipes at 285 per transaction, I have to MIA to recover. And we have plenty Dasuki dollar in circulation in both Abuja and Lagos, one needs to re-package . Anyways, congrats on graduating from Elpaso school of gynecology!

So here's the gist. In the spirit of giving back grin

I went to renew my visa via dropbox two weeks ago.

Last monday morning, I was in a serious brainstorming session at work, I received a call. Usually, I hang up calls at work but something told me to pick cos it's a landline call.

Next thing they say they are from US embassy, in respect of my renewal. I should come for an interview any monday or wednesday from 11am. That's how my brain shutdown for the day angry

I took excuse from work yesterday morning and carried my LO with me for the interview. At least, Sebi we are in this together! No be only me waka come.

The embassy wasn't so busy, everyone was nice and courteous. I got to the queue to be interviewed by one man who just approved a family. It took a while to conclude with them so the guy coordinating the queue asked me to queue in front of a really pretty lady. She had just approved one mama going for conference and was drilling one woman going to deliver. She had all her docs and was also given.
So it was my turn:

Me: Hallo, Gd morning
V.O: Good morning, give me a minute.... (started typing)... so you have been to the US?
Me: Yes, 4 times
VO: How long did you spend during the last trip?
Me: 5 months
VO: You went to have her?
Me: Yes
VO: Ok that figures, where did you have her
Me: Chicago
VO: You have family or friends in Chicago
Me: Yes
VO: Ok, do you have receipts.
Me: Sure... (I pass it on to her. She flips through my receipts.) I had a CSection delivery.
VO: Ok... I'm sorry we had to call you in, the next time you renew via dropbox you don't have to come in. (Hands me white paper)
Me: Ok, thanks

Only a few people were denied that I saw. Mostly young men. The VO's were very courteous, customer service on point.

Advice to others: keep it short and simple
