Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by TashaStPatrik: 8:21am On Jun 13, 2018
Hello gurus.. Please I am filling an application for myself and my 10months baby. I am a full housewife ( well for now) and hubby and my dad will be sponsoring the trip. Please how do I put that down in the form? Secondly, I don’t know how to answer these questions for my baby’s application:
1) How much do you spend each month on living cost?

2) How much of your total income is given to dependent?

3) what is the cost to you personally for your trip?

4) the total amount you have for this trip

5) the cost of ur accommodation and living expenses..
please I need help filling these parts. Thank you in advance

Are they yet to make a decision on her app right?
Tourist visa?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by doncorleone(m): 10:25am On Jun 13, 2018
Gurus in the house please I need your help.

I applied for a 2 year visa application for my mom, and appointment was on 10 April. Till now decision hasn't been made on the application. We sent a mail to UK VI and they confirmed in May and they confirmed the application has gotten to them and they haven't made a decision yet. She had travel to the US in 2014 and UK 2016 - both were short stay visas.

My question is: why the delay? Has anyone experienced this before? What can I do to get a decision made soon? Who do I contact?

Please I really need help. I used the old visa website form to fill in my application. However , I mistakenly chose the 6 months Family Visit Visa. Will this affect the decision of my visa , even though it is now considered as a Standard Visit Visa.

Can someone pls reply this

I tried registering to see if I can track but I still can't... I filled my form via visa4uk website so it's not from TLScontact.
I guess I will have to go check tomorrow cos it might have been returned and I will still be waiting without knowing.cos it's already 22 working days. Which is far gone from the stipulated 15 working days...

I went to TLS Ikeja center this morning to check and pick up my passport. But was told it's not yet ready. And I was told I will be sent an email when its ready for collection. I did my biometrics on the 10th of May.

Hi guys. Please I need help again
My dad, my cousin and my kid brother would be coming for my graduation and I’ll like to ask what documents my dad should have for them to apply for their visa. He owns his business.
The documents I know top of my head he should have are;
Bank statement
Tax card
Business registration
Graduation Invite letter from my uni
My dad is sponsoring my brother and my cousin
My brother has his : introduction letter from his school.
My cousin has her: introduction letter from her work place and 6 months payslip.
Also when I’m filling my dad’s form; the part where it says dependent children. Does it mean I should write the names of my siblings and I since we are all still dependent on him. Do I also have to put my cousin too? He has been her sponsor all her life. Thanks a lot for the help

Hello all the gurus, please your help is needed here. A friend want to follow another of our friend for graduation. His invitation letter is ready from the school with his name. He would be sponsored by the graduating friend what other document would he need to supply on his own for the visit visa.

He does not have much in his account.

The friend graduating and sponsoring would need minimum of how much as sponsor to convince ECO.

Thank as you answer

Why are they both sponsoring? This may hinder success. Why not let either of them (preferably your husband) be the sponsor?
1) 0
2) 0
3) 0
4) put the flight ticket amount
5) 0

Yes, you fill all the names since you are all dependant on him. Put documents that also establish your cousin's relationship with him such as pics. Your cousin should include her statement of account too.

But almost clearly, this your friend will not come back home na.... A graduating student on whose instance he's being invited is the one also to sponsor him? You guys are joking methinks sha. Even if the sponsor has the resources/wherewithal and can easily prove same, the fact that he is the sponsor amongst other factors coupled with invitee having no substantial tie back home will very LIKELY culminate in and have one resultant effect - REFUSAL.

The sponsor must be able to demonstrate that he is able to sponsor the trip without going bankrupt. His income and Account balance must be suffient for the trip

Keep in mind that you shouldn't have two valid passports, the expiring one should have been "cancelled without prejudice" (stamped on it) at the Immigration office when you collected the new one. Don't try to travel with both; avoid stories that touch.

To those guys at TLS are slow and I don't even think their sms is active again.. if u stay close to the centre maybe u can try to see if it's at the centre and they have not updated their system. Keep ur fingers crossed and hope for the best. It's as if those agents at the tlc centre there want people to be denied so they can offer to assist to help secure a visa...

My advice, the graduating person should apply and get his visa first before sponsoring any friend, let him d'nt complicate issues for him self and be denied visa ps.

The graduating person need a very good job, with good salary, enough money in his account and the money to keep him going after sponsoring.

I can not really tell the exact estimate he will need to sponsor him , Probabally extimate of 3M or 4M in his account. All these depends on how many days they will stay, the accommodation, flight fare, feeding and living expenses.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by myport: 4:27pm On Jun 13, 2018
Thanks for your response the graduating student has his visa already and intending to use the same company account he used for his own visa to apply for this other friend.

Some one mentioned home tie, please home would be appropriate for him to present.
The whole trip is just max 5 days the graduation is on 14 July.

Thanks

Going through this thread, reading the letters from various ECOs and the comments, you will see a lot of pointers.

Is the sponsored person an adult? If yes, he should be the one reading this thread. Abi na you? If he is a minor, perhaps it is better his parents sponsor him.
Actually, that 14 of July is pretty close. The TLS/UKVI/ECO needs only 'experience' a slight delay, and the reason for the trip is gone. Especially since the summer rush as begun. (You can browse to this time last year to see how fast visa applications were handled.)

Perhaps the sponsor can sponsor his friend for an 'after party' in another country with less stringent visa conditions.

As long as you don't need to carry both, you should be fine. Other gurus can say whether it can have any implication in the future (eg. submitting both passports for another visa application for other countries; if NIS officer at airport can 'complain' that your visa is dated before the old 'un-cancelled' passport expired; etc.)

You can still cancel. At any NIS Passport office. (Previous times I did, it always took less than 5 minutes: only need to identify where the office is, and the officer simply stamps a couple of pages and its done.)
