Greenfriend: Ok. Thank you. But do you think someone who had previously been to the UK on Tier 2 visa still needs IELTS and police clearance certificate before they can apply for a new Tier 2 entry clearance from Nigeria? |

On what grounds is your friend inviting you? What role would s/he play during your visit? Would you be staying with your friend at any point in time during the visit? You would need to state this as part of your application submission. You need to prepare a budget of how much you would be spending during the trip for you and your child (include your husband if traveling with you). I would advise that you be patient till the end of the year by which time your husband must have clocked a year at work. BTW you need a bank statement of at least 6 months. Your husband just started work in November after a year out of work ....this is just 3 months of work and salary. You would need a constant inflow of funds in your account for six months (to show a stead flow of income) amounting to about N2Million so that based on your budget, you would have enough left to fall back to after the trip. wumi247: |

Secondly I stated in my first application that I don't know anyone in UK, I don't know if it will affect next application if I submit letter of invitation!! Hubby might not travel with us but we are thinking we should apply as family to make it fly. |

I've searched my PC, unfortunately I couldn't find it anymore. Let me try and summarise what I wrote. In the invitation letter for my parents' visitor visa, I wrote that I was inviting them on holiday for xx amount of days, that they will be staying with me at my address, that I will be fully sponsoring their trip. I also mentioned the trip budget and the bank account that the money was in. I mentioned my job and the company I work for and my tier 2 visa expiry date. I wrote a bit about what my parents do for a living and that they will return back to Nigeria after their vacation to continue running their businesses. For my partner's tier 2 dependent visa, I wrote a short cover letter stating how long we had been married and that I support his application to join me in the UK. I mentioned when we started dating and that we have attached photos and whatsapp messages to prove that our relationship is genuine. I think that was all. Heritagee: |

Sorry I couldn't locate the exact copy. I'll try and describe it here. I created a table with 4 columns - Date, Amount, Sender and Purpose. My parents are business people so they had many large deposits coming in from their customers. I went through each bank statement and typed in all deposits that were above 150k. cc: lovesavvi, sorry I don't have access to the email do can't reply to PMs. opomulero: |

Dear Justwise and other gurus I am about to fill our family application form. For me, wify and 4kids. My question is this. Will I write cover letter for the kids also or should I use my own and attach to theirs. What of my wife. Secondly in giving breakdown of expenses, how do I handle the kids application. Should I give breakdown or leave it vacant |

Good evening house! I know you can apply 3months prior to travel date but when do they start counting? From online submission or date of biometrics? Thanks |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 7:08pm On Jan 12, 2019 |
Domistic: One cover letter for everything traveling with you and the same with the breakdown, the same breakdown for everybody apart from the cost of flight which will be lower for the kids |

Pls I need your help. I just finished applying for UK Visa for Myself and including my wife and daughter as people traveling with me. I have also paid the VISA fee for 2yrs Visa. But on registering TLSContact Process, I saw a message on the site that implies that I have to also fill a separate application for my wife and daughter (5yrs old). Does it mean that I will pay separately for their VISA fees (my wife and daughter) and book separate appointmentsfor them? |

The UK Immigration Health Surcharge, which had been expected to double in December 2018, increased on 8 January 2019 the Home Office has confirmed. The immigration health surcharge increased from £200 to £400 per year for many UK visa categories including the Tier 2 visa, Tier 1 entrepreneur visa, Sole Representative visa and Tier 1 Investor visa categories. The UK visa fee for international students applying for the Tier 4 visa, those applying for the Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa Scheme and for other Tier 5 visa applications rose from £150 to £300 per year. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Nobody: 3:41pm On Jan 13, 2019 |
Hi all, So, it has been over 6 weeks now since our tier 2 dependent visa application was refused and we are yet to receive the health surcharge which I believe is meant to be paid back 6 weeks after visa refusal. Has anyone else had same experience? Need advice on how to get it back please. Thanks in advance. N |

justwise:what is the cost to you personally of your trip in GBP? What do we fill here. Please note that my wife and I work but we are using our private coy which has over 30m as sponsor. Both of us are the shareholders. We are budgeting 5300 GBP for the entire family of 6. We already have a board approval letter and board resolution . Pls help |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 8:18pm On Jan 13, 2019 |
Domistic: You are likely to have an issue using coy's account because this is a private trip and not for your company. You and your wife should use your individual personal account for your family holiday. To be able to answer that question you should first of all get the cost of the trip for all 6 of you individually then use that to answer the cost question in each form. You also need to give a brief explanation in your own application that its a family trip |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by kprake9: 9:19pm On Jan 13, 2019 |

Hello fellow nairalanders, hope you are all well! My sister wants to come to the UK in June to write PLAB 1. Does anyone have an idea of if this is possible and what Visa she will need? Also, is it possible that someone else can fully sponsor her? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by smilz(m): 12:07am On Jan 14, 2019 |
imback: In her cover letter she can state that the exam is written twice a year outside the UK (March and November) and that would mean her waiting for months...though I must tell u they frown at the idea of u traveling to the UK for plab 1. 2. Her wanting to take plab 1 means she's a qualified doctor. Notwithstanding, Yes u can fully sponsor her trip. But would be nice if she can also present her bank statement too. Hope this helps |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 7:02am On Jan 14, 2019 |
smilz: 1. You are not helping him by encouraging him to lie. 2. No they don't frown at people traveling to the UK for the exam because many in the thread have succeeded in doing that. 1 Like |
