Kbuddie:It's already holiday time and what I mean by going down is $ to naira... if $ is N240 then that means flight payment in naira will go down a bit we can see LOS to JFK between N280K to N320K |

Hi everyone and i salute everyone working tirelessly for this thread. May the good Lord bless u abundantly. Pls I have an interview for next week Tuesday and my question is, is it compulsory to print the ds160 form as I couldn't print the day I filled it but I ve my appointment confirmation and how is my chance as my age is 23 and work as a PA for my coy Chairman with 405,508 pay monthly, this is my first vacation without prior travelling history. Looking towards a positive response. Thanks |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Petaocky: 12:10am On Jun 29, 2016 |
Thanks for that information. Please, is it possible to scan the copy of your documents you want them to see to them maybe via email and they will see it before your interview date? If it is possible, then what is their email address where they can see your documents. Secondly, what effect does it have on your chances of securing US visa when you tell them that you have an Uncle that is inviting you than you booking a hotel for you and your family. Meanwhile, in your first attempt you already filled that you were been invited by your Uncle. Thirdly, apart from those other regular documents like marriage certificate, children's birth certificates, letter of introduction from your company, what other supporting documents can one go with if you are going with your family and my wife happen to be a business woman and a students of higher institution. What supporting documents can she come with for the interview? Finally, how long will it take for your visa fees to become invalid if you have not yet schedule for your interview? |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by LadyGuinivere: 4:46am On Jun 29, 2016 |
Petaocky:The process for the interview Is clearly stated on the webite . So No. You cannot pre scan Documents. If documents are needed, they will be requested for although in practice, these are not asked for for B visa. It is irrelevant whether you book a hotel or you are staying with family. Neither increases your chances. You are judged based on your hometies. Full stop. What does s/he have to return to . NB: the quality if your questions show you have invested little or no time to research andd do not understand how the us visa process works and that is the greatest pitfall. If only you can but read the embassy website and a few transcripts here, your perception will change. As for documents needed, you can take along anything that will support any claim you make ( I repeat, they are rarely looked at. Again I repeat read the transcripts) if you however want to have an idea of what to take, please check the embassy website. On the ist page of this thread, there's a link. Please read it. Visa fees are valid for one year. Which info is also on the website and if I'm not mistaken, one the reciept 1 Like |

Why not go through all the pages? They suggested like two now. This thread from the beginning and the US site the VO posted. Open up your mind, dont look for a particular answer. You will be suprised how much you will learn. zealz4u: |

Hello all, trust everyone is doing great! My visa expires in August and want to travel in October. Is it advisable to put in for renewal now or do I have to wait until the visa expires? |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by seyewest(m): 1:14pm On Jun 30, 2016 |
sisit:It is advisable to renew it before traveling. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by OmoBendel24: 2:38pm On Jun 30, 2016 |
sisit:Go ahead with the renewal. The time is now, you don't necessarily have to wait for the expiration of the visa before renewing it. It's most advisable to do this some good time ahead of your planned trip. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by ekpotek: 3:34pm On Jun 30, 2016 |
sisit: Sure go ahead and renew! my will expire in August, but I renewed it this June drop box. If your visa is issued, the old visa will be stamped CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE. |

Good day all, I have been a silent reader to this thread and i'd like to ask a few questions for clarification from all the gurus in the house. My wife and I got married in April 2014 applied for a visiting visa in Feb 2015 but we were denied. Now my company is sending me for a conference in Chicago in October 2016. The conference is in my field and my coy is paying for all expenses which has been stated in the letter of introduction. My question now is 1. I was promoted this year and thus my salary has changed from 202k to 450k. I hope this wouldn't be a problem cos the last application I had 202k and now my salary is reads 450k. 2. The only travel history I have is to Ghana, hope it would not also be a problem. 3. In my previous application under the previous employment section (2009 - 2013) I filled in the company CEO as my supervisor which was because I had dual supervisors but in this application I filled my second supervisor. I hope it will also not raise a red flag as having two different supervisors for the application. 4. Because I have been denied once does it stop my chances from getting this visa. I presume my circumstances have changed now because I have a son now and a daughter due in November 2016 as against when it was just my wife and I that applied in Feb 2015. Will appreciate your honest responses. Thanks. |
