I went for my interview 2weeks ago and the consular asked all the questions then he collected my passport and gave me a white paper with a reply that my case need to undergo administrative processing they will notify me via email or phone when the administrative processing is completed. it's now 16 days of waiting but still no reply and nothing yet in my mailbox till this very moment. He did not request for any document, I'm just confused and worried at the moment.......I've kept tracking the status of my application but it's still thsame information since the interview date on Ceas....

Please What are the likely questions for couples going on vacation and what are the required documents to be taken to the interview. Who will VO asks most of the questions thank you

Dh: Vacation
Vo: OK, where do work
Dh: I work wt bla bla n my duties are.........
Vo: What server does your company use (DH is an engineer)
DH: (told him)
Vo: so what is the most challenging part of your job
Dh: (didn't hear that so I spoke)

Vo:hmmm seems you know a lot about your husband's job, is he a supervisor

Vo: (to me) so u work with beep as a customer service officer, tell me what you do
Me.: told him

He gave us d white paper n said some few things which I didn't hear.

P. S. Though I used an agent, I made sure he filled our forms with the truth( dh already paid him before I stumbled on this thread). He advised us to lie, that we should tell the vo that we have a kid but I declined. The truth always pays. I have made up my mind not to use an agent again, they might spoil one's chances.
Also, prayer works. We prayed like we didn't plan. We studied our ds-160 forms like we were to write an exam on it.
My observation: a lot of people were issued visa that day. Guess twas a good day at the embassy.

Why are you going to X? Here is where many make mistakes, this is where you should clearly state thy strong reasons for chosing X.

What do you do?/What are your roles and responsibilities? Here again, paint yourself in good light and don't repeat in verbatim what you filled in the form, just expantiate on what you filled in the form, position yourself in a way that your role is vital. If you are a housewife, say you are a housewife, don't lie.

How much have you budgeted for this trip? here is another place people make mistake, i don't know where you are going to, but $5,000-$6,000 is reasonable. Your salary should be able to match this. So you cant be earning 100k and say $5,000-6,000; is your budget.

Smile, look into their eyes and make them feel like you have other places other than the US that you would like to go to, but you just picked the US and that they should be happy i.e. be confidence/confident.

1. Travel history - A
2. Salary - A
3. Length at place of work - A
4. Marriage status - (Not an issue, but if you are engaged, you should mention that in the interview)
5. Length of stay in the US - A

Well, unless the VO feels that you will abscond, there is no way you won't get the visa. Just smile, be polite, look into their eyes and let them know if your sister wasn't in the US, you won't even bother being in their embassy i.e. be confidence/confident.

know what you filled in the form, and fill it yourself.

My sister in law is graduating from Yale Uni in May and she invited me with an invitation letter to attend her graduation though she also said her school insists it is not required for visa application. I work for a Federal Agency and earn 350k per month. Been working in this Agency for four years and i had my masters degree in the UK. I also visited the UK for vacation few years after my Masters Degree. I will be paying for my flight and accommodation and intend to stay for one week if i eventually attend her grad.However, i am weighing my options whether i should apply or not as i am not married and i dont know if that alone may disqualify me as not having enough ties. I really want to go for the Grad but being rejected based on marital status or the monthly income is my major concern. I know they dont often check statements or pay slips but this thread has proved that self evaluation is better so one doesn't waste visa application fees.Please advice.

Or some other document?

If you really have a green card that has lapsed due to you being away from the USA for too long
my understanding is that it is declared null and void, it can not just be renewed.

I still don't think that was the reason(Master forger) they don't check our bank account... the U.K still use it and it work for them

I think the question is how long have you been away from the US?

If the answer is far less than 1 yr, then you should be able to travel on the expired card. You will be given a I-551 stamp in your passport and you can then download and fill the I-90 form when you're in the US.

If its longer than 1 year, then your problem isn't that you have an expired green card, but whether that green card is even valid at all. If this is the case then you can forget about getting back to the US as a permanent resident.

Yes you Can book the appointment and you MUST send it copy to your email address. you will be able to print it from your email address next time... that it's only way to print it later.

Fill another ds 160 form. Then mail the new Barcode number to their customer service to help you change the old Barcode.

Because you're coming to U.S does not mean they will intrude on your right.. You should take time to talk to those who are returned home from POE to know what is actually going on... I can say for sure that I spoke with more than 10 of those people and for some of them they provided them with attorney if they demand for one... they know there limit although in some situation they will find another means to get your password while the traveler is in detention.... will American citizen provide the password to their Social Media accounts and phone to Nigerian Immigration?

They can search through your phone if there's no password on it(Unlocked) but asking you for password of your email accounts,instagram,twitter etc You're free to ask for your right oooo and what to do.
