One time Governor of Bayelsa state. Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha has been reported dead. Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was reported to have died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) in Rivers State. Close family sources claimed that the former governor developed unexplained ailment in his hometown in Ammassoma community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa and was rushed to Port Harcourt. Chief D.S.P Alamieyeseigha, who was popularly known as Governor-General of Ijaw Nation, was about 62 years old before his demise. More updates to follow….
