If the Butler had remembered and smuggled in Joseph as a ministerial nominee in King Pharaoh’s list as soon as he was restored, what do you think would have happened?
i. Perhaps King Pharaoh might exclaim, ‘You mean I have been hypnotized and manipulated’ to restore you? And in anger sent him back to the prison or had him executed in a hurry like the Baker. Don’t you think so?
ii. On the other hand, he might say, ‘You mean there is a little god in the kingdom that could discern the heart of kings, predict and interpret same accurately?’ and without much ado, drafted him into his workforce, placed him like other magicians or wise men on his payroll as one of his dream interpreters in the empire. Or what do you think?
iii. Assuming point no. ii was the case. After two years when the King had a dream, Joseph would have been one of the ‘magicians, witchdoctors or wise men’ invited to interpret the dream. Consequently, Joseph would have interpreted the dream (that is if being on government payroll had not blurred his binocular and beclouded his spiritual insight), and having done that, the king might not even need to say thank you because, after all, that was his normal schedule and work for which he had been on the government payroll for the last two years for doing nothing. He would simply retire to his office again waiting for next time the king would dream.
iv. But, because every disappointment is a blessing in disguise, he was honourably ‘consulted’ as a foreign product with a MOU and eventually became lord to King Pharaoh. Hmmnn!
Bearing in mind every human disappointment is a blessing in disguise, even if/when all beneficiaries of your kind gesture, generosity, reputation and ministries have forgotten and abandoned you today…it is a deliberate act of God in disguise to showcase you at the right fullness of time for something higher, greater, bigger and better. Don’t settle for less begging to be remembered and favoured as Joseph did. Wisdom Today!
