Dr Theresa Akande, has stated that about 5,000 candidates who participated in The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, the post-UTME screening exercise of the institution will not be admitted due to the limited number of admission space in the school.

Dr. Akande, who made this known during an assessment tour of the screening exercise, said that only 2,000 applicants among the 7,000 that sat for examination will gain admission.

She said the allotted carrying capacity by the regulating body, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) is 2,000.

The rector assured that all hands were on deck to ensure a smooth- free conclusion of admission processes with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to enable the institution begin the 2015/2016 session in due course.
