Of course you are turning it into economic unviability. The truth you guys confuse yourselves a lot about the West's viability. The North and the East are far more viable than the West in terms of making money. The only drawback to the North is religious extremism. The same religious extremis and then tribal extremism is gradually creeping into the West. And gradually Igbos and other Nigerians are becoming reluctant to invest in the West. In the next 30 years this will explode. The truth is that most rich Igbos made their money in the North and the East; Onitsha, Kano, Aba were where Igbo wealth was created. Wealth created in these places were then taken to Lagos, the so-called West. If the West is so viable mention one Igbo or Yoruba in Oshogbo, Ibadan, Ado Ekiti, Akure who is rich enough to challenge the richest trader in Aba or Onitsha or even Kano. Forget Lagos. The story of Abuja has shown us why Lagos is what it is. Tomorrow the Gwari will come out and praise themselves for achievements in Abuja. Let's check list of richest Igbo men and see where they made their money. Here I go: (1) Ibeto - Nnewi (2) Orji Uzor Kalu- Maiduguri (3) Chisco Transport Owner - Onitsha (4) Emeka Offor - Onitsha (5) Umu Igbo please add yours . 9jacrip: 4 Likes |

ichoku: Delusion out of emotion is a problem for Igbo. And the richest man in Africa's investment is all over the SW. And cretinous elements like you are rushing to the west clogging up the Alabas, the Ladipos and the Oyingbos. And your richest ever, Ojukwu's investment was in the SWest. And the first point of call of investments for foreign companies is the SWest Yet, the North and East are much more viable. Yibhoes, in the face of obvious facts, let emotions drive their thoughts. Sir, you're one sick cnu.t 9 Likes

You beat your chest about being the most educated and developed part of nigeria, until the internet came and boom, Waec,.neco, and the jambs recorded jolted you into reality. Then the pictures of enugu, onitsha, owerri, aba made brown oshogbo, abeokuta and oyo look like refugee camps....like you guys just suffered a war recently. Welcome to the information age buddy, welcome to reality.

9jacrip: Indeed you're still dazed and mesmerised by the lofty achievements of the Great Igbo Nation compared to your 'suffersticated" Yoruba tribe. You're simply trying to hold onto straws to attempt to fault credible statistics. You're still pained that Igbos would venture into your region and out-compete you to your chagrin and shame. And you just don't trust the statistics from JAMB, WAEC, NECO and internationally recognised bodies since your Yoruba tribe is nowhere at the top. FYI, many Yorubas are too lazy as to think one cannot achieve success save by ritual-killings. Why do you think Yoruba land is littered with evil forests where ritual killings and cannibalism hold sway? With the so-called 'sophistication' of the Yoruba race yet internationally acclaimed drug peddlers, squandermanias and treasury looters are your leaders whom you sheepishly follow. If Igbo women are known for being prostitutes how come many Yoruba men would rather die to have Igbo women in marriage? What else could be the reason why many Yoruba men choose the 'prostitute' Igbo women at the expense of the numerous cheap, dirty, promiscuous and unrefined Yoruba women who are notorious in jumping from husband bed to several beds in town and bearing children for different men as if it's more or less a Yoruba culture? Are you not aware that in Yoruba land you can have father-in-law and father competing with son-in-law/son to sleep with daughter/daughter-in-law for some spiritual powers in this modern age of civilisation? Are you not aware that many Yoruba homes are known for breeding political touts, thugs and area boys? At this age you should be in the know that SW has the highest illiterates in the South of Nigeria despite the over-hyped Awo's free education and Yorubas' much taunted 'sophistication'. Google will unravel some truths to you. Just follow the steps hereafter and search for: 1* the States/region in Nigeria with the highest enrolment rates into the universities in Nigeria 2* the States with the highest JAMB cut-off marks for universities across Nigeria 3* the States/region with the least out of school children in Nigeria 4* the States/region that are required to have very high score for admission into the Unity Schools in Nigeria in the last decade 5* the State with the highest number of professors in Nigeria 6* the region with the best MDGs attainment If you don't find your Yoruba tribe leading in any of the 6 categories it then means your ranting is senseless, and as far as the Igbos are concerned you remain a piss in the wind! janefrancisca: Who invented the facade called "one Nigeria"? An Igbo man called Zik, and he propagated that facade with the assistance of his Igbo kinsmen at a time both Yorubas and Hausas had seen through Zik's facade of oneness and therefore maintained that Nigeria was not one and that attempts should not be made to force Nigeria to become one. An Igbo man, Ironsi, eventually used military force to make Nigeria one in order to satisfy Zik and his fellow Igbos. But the forced oneness soon backfired on Igbos just 6 months later and from then on till today Igbos painfully realized that Nigeria can't really be one. But unfortunately, instead of Igbos to acknowledge that the Yorubas and Hausas are vindicated about in their position that one Nigeria is a fraud invented by Zik their own brother, they pretend as if they themselves never at any time in the past believe in one Nigeria. If Igbos really want an equittable Nigeria then they should be honest enough confess they were the original one-Nigerianists who invented that slogan that has ruine Nigeria till today rather than keep trying to create the impression that "one Nigeria" was the brainchild of Yorubas and Hausas. 1 Like |

Ucheosefoh: Ibos and their obsession with rusted roofs of Yoruba cities is it because the oldest cities in the east was destroyed during the war? Mind you the south west is the most economically viable region in Nigeria that's another reason for you to hate yorubaland but like someone in this thread noted no philosopher can explain the aba made logic of ibos trooping to other regions and "Claiming to develop " those region while abandoning their own region, even Israel that they claim they originate from is developed so why not igboland? #Foodforthoughtforibos |
