I saw the latest advertisement of Oceanic Bank in the Punch Newspaper with three kids placing coins in a jar. It brought a memory of the noise and propaganda that CBN under Prof Soludo used about 2 years ago to re-launch the coins.

It appears that the naija coins have disappear. So many kids don't even know that it is part of our legal tender and some kids cannot recognize them. Even banks do not give you (including Oceanic bank) during transactions they usually round it up to the nearest paper money e.g. N5, or N10.

Should we scrap the coins or not? What do you think?
