Adminisher: My brother, Nigeria will cease to exist on day, the day Nigerian government try the devolution of power to states and local government. That day will be the begging of disintegration of the country. |

Dapaboy: Even the likes of Scotland want to break away from the UK upon the high degree of autonomy and devolution So why can't the nationalities within nigeria get this autonomy? I think federalism isn't enough, Yoruba for instance will need to have all its people together from north central to South south. . Then together form an autonomous Nation with its own Parliament and Executive and legal standards 1 Like |

Adminisher: Its lazy brains who want to remain in nigeria. As far as I know people who keep ddeluding themselves with the chant "One nigeria" are simply too unintelligent to see beyond what they are told and fear of the uncertain The corruption we see in nigeria is at this level because we lack patriotism. ..and you can't force patriotism. . Citizens develop that when they feel bounded together .. Nigerians aren't bounded It's every man to your tent An Oduduwa republic will have moderate population for the government to reach its people, negligence, discrimination that is so rampant in nigeria will be found no where. Crime will reduce, we will be capable of controlling our population, create laws that suit our over a thousand year old Culture and traditions, we will develop our land with our own resources The advantages are endless 4 Likes |

atbu1983:If we go with the United Kingdom model, it will surely fall under ethnic lines. Yet, I'm sorry your dream Edo led Niger Delta republic would not see the light of the day, unless the ethnic groups comprising the minorities of the region vote through an independent referendum to form a country. But if not selfishness and greed why would you clamour for the Igboid tribes to be added to your republic. All Igbo group will form one country. The same way all Yoruboid group would also like for themselves. Edo can stay alone if they want. However, let me spell it out to you again. No part of Igboland, from Benue to the fringes of Edo shall be ceded to any group under any guise whatsoever. So I advice you put that into your head, and start thinking of life in an Edo republic devoid of any Igbo subgroup. |
