Relaxed hair is not discussed much these days. It seems like every woman is on natural hair. And those that have not moved, are packing their luggage. But in reality, a lot of women have not joined the bandwagon of the natural hair ladies. And you might just be one who is thinking of how to get the thickness in your relaxed hair without you having to go natural. There are 5 simple ways:

- Stretch Relaxers. Give your hair a break [ 10-12 weeks or more]. By stretching out relaxers, you allow your new growth to grow in fully before putting the relaxer on it. When you keep relaxing your hair over again, it can break, cause thinness or even hair damage.

- Try Normal Strength Relaxers. I know we have different hair types and texture. When you use normal strength relaxers, however, they process your hair at a slower rate than extra strength relaxers. This leaves some texture on your hair instead of the completely straight hair. More texture means thicker dense strands. It would be advisable to see your hair specialist for the right relaxer for your hair, though.

- Use Coconut Oil. Before you shampoo your relaxed hair next time, try applying some coconut oil. It protects your relaxed hair from protein loss when used as a pre-shampoo treatment. It prevents of your cuticle as well. When there is a esser damage to your cuticle, it gives you thicker hair.

- Protect Your Previously Relaxed Hair. When you relax your hair, you may not need to relax everything (that is, including the roots]. Relaxing a previously relaxed hair can cause over processing which will lead to hair thinness and breakage.

-Treat Your Relaxed Hair Weekly with Protein. Protein causes the hair to swell in diameter, therefore increasing its thickness. Protein treatments strengthen your relaxed hair and protects it from breakage.

So, no more fears of transiting to natural hair if you love your relaxed hair and desire its thickness. These five tips will help.
