Welcome to wamakko,sokoto guys!!! The camp is really coool..the structures are new!! The soldiers are superfriendly too!! No need to worry! Just ensure you have ur sunglasses, faceMasks etc..also take water bottles so you can always have water by your side!! The sun is really hot here, it dehydrates you on all levels, meaning you would be thirsty most of the time!! but the sun doesn't really make u sweat like the sun in the southern parts of 9ja. !! Rubber canvas isn't really needed cos sometimes your feet would feel the impact f the sun too their mami mrkt is super stocked..everything is there!! for those who would never eat from the kitchen..hehehe!!! The kitchen food mostly sucks tho..Overall I had a great time in wamakko camp!! I had no regrets!! We nicknamed our Camp commandant crusher too* he's quite nice.I repped 3platoon#team bloodsuckers *winks* lol..nyways, To those coming from far distances, please leave a day before!! Hope this little piece of info helped? enjoy ur stay..

I'm PCM A16 how long does the journey takes from Lagos. and is it advisable to leave by Monday if camp will be open on Wednesday.

I don't know exactly, but some people that came in from Lagos said smtin about 17-19 hours! Some people arrived camp a day before esp those who got into sokoto very late at night.. I left my state on monday morning, cos our camp date was tuesday. I broke my journey tho becos I didn't want to arrive sokoto very very late. So I stopped at zaria that monday, then continued to sokoto d nxt day. I got to camp around 12pm. Hope this helps?

To those who served in Sokoto in the last two years, do you think its advisable to bring a laptop to camp? Would there be space to charge? Thank you!

You will be allowed to bring in laptop if u r sure of how to keep it safe... Reason being that during camp activities period no soul Wil b allowed into d room even at dat bahdt guys always find there way. It's a very funny period ur sponge, soap, bathroom slippers will go missing..... U kn petty stealing ...... I don't kn y u wud wanna bring it but if nt for business purpose I wud advice u keep at home then when u go on three weeks break u can come along wt whatever gadget to ur PPA.
