IlekeHD: I'm giving him a max of 12 months which is fair enough. But one thing we should always bear in mind is "our tribe is 1st before country's interests" so i can't blame him much.... I've lived with them, they can't think beyond their own.. Until we get true Regionalism, all na wash but i believe this govt will be better than the last.... Don't mind our elekun yen, it would have been worse if they had returned with oil trading at 47$ per barrel.... Cc Aareonakakanfo. .. |

modath: Aunty, why can't Yorubas have the same "our tribe comes first" mentality in politics? 1bkaye: I've never said "WTF" in a good way lol. An experience indeed. But we can only look forward to better days. |

modath: True words my sister.Like i always say,I'm not interested in Nigerian politics generally,I'm only interested in Yorubaland. The emboldened is a clear message to the "One Nigeria" evangelists.Ko seyi to kan mi pelu PDP ati APC,to me they are all the same.Just the same characters going round the tunnel. The unitary system is our biggest bane to development and its really unfortunate this new government is not implementing the Confab report.ki olorun ko ko wa yo 1 Like |

Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by IlekeHD: 4:08pm On Nov 05, 2015 |
1bkaye: Assuming I visit? The whole point of going to Nigeria, for me, is to go to Ekiti. Well I loved it. It's "earthy" like you said, clean, green boisterous. People were generally nice/kind. I visited several cities/villages in Ekiti. I was happy with the development [even tho it was in a slow pace] Fayemi was achieving in several parts......roads/bridges/fixing our dam. I spent 80% of my time in my lovely state and I didn't want to go back to Lagos. I love my state. I hated the unlawful okadas tho. |

modath: sO i'VE HEARD FROM SEVERAL PEOPLE. While I was in college [undergrad], I had a burkina-faso roommate. She told me that her people don't trust them because they're dubious when they do business in burkina-faso. I was surprised that she nailed them down to tribe name. The reason why I'd support breaking this country up is because I want them to stop spoiling the Nigerian name. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Aareonakakanfo: Yep. Let's focus on admonishing Yoruba politicians [for Yoruba development] when need be and showing them support hen they deserve it. If politics needs to be discussed, focus on Yoruba own. 2 Likes |

IlekeHD: Do they even care about our admonitions? Besides Fayemi, I don't know any governor in the southwest who screamed about the return to regionalism. He was always present at the DAWN meetings while other south-west governors only sent representatives. Abeg help us preach the emboldened.I'm thinking of going into a music studio to compose a song on that since we can't use text to convince them. 1 Like |

modath:I had fun in Abuja o but I will still hold you to this, let me even screen shot this your comment for future reference lol IlekeHD:Haha Nice! Yes I can definitely attest to the general friendly disposition of the people! Ah ann, but isn't Lagos where it's usually 'happening'? Or something lol I was in Oyo for about a week, Ibadan for about two days which was nice No okadas in Abuja yaass! That I saw anyway. Plenty in Ibadan, mehn see how I was fearing for my life as I was walking at night, okadas flying from every corner lol I ate A LOT too... 1 Like |

1bkaye: I'm a laid back person who enjoys her quietness. Lagos is not "happening" for me, plus I grew up near Miami beaches, that was enough "happenings". Ibadan...... *sign*. Let's not go there. |

IlekeHD: Anti Ileke, so firefire o ki n se omo kaaro o jiire ?? ... Iyalenu gba lo je fun mi... You our people abroad can say you are not interested in naija politics but we back here don't have a choice.. We pay hundreds of thousands to educate primary school kids, still pay home lesson teachers a couple of tens of thousands to fill any gap that may exist... We have constituted ourselves into counties, we provide our own electricity, water, security, fix bad portions of roads ourselves & you think we'd like it to be so forever... My last baby we had to do blue pali anchor baby in case the country is still in the ditch & we are too groowwn to contribute much. He will be a citizen of a place that things like welfare, grants etc don't sound like latin... We don't have a choice here, I don't know how to braid hair & can't start RN degree.... 3 Likes 1 Share |
