I don't trust vanguard. When I saw the story, I didn't bother reading it cos I know it was a lie. The funny thing is, people that would condemn you for believing a report by saharareporters won't stop at nothing to have you believe vanguard. |

Even if Nigerian government wants them to help end the war against insurgents, how is it US problem to never allow them? My understanding is that the mercenaries are South Africans, how does the US come in the equation? Is US happy with the killings? 1 Like |

It was this same Vanguard that ran a story that the nomination of the nominee from Oyo state has been withdrawn while the said nominee was already undergoing screening on the floor of the Senate. What is worrisome is that some mischievous persons have taken it as another opportunity to vent their hate and aggression on this administration. So much for the journalist of copy and paste. News reports from Vanguard the days leave a lot to be desired. As a mainstream media outfit that's not good. Buhari's government must challenge them legally at some point to tame their excessive partisanship. |

Someone recently raised concerns about the nature of the Vanguard's reports recently, especially with regard to the Nnamdi Kanu saga, and possible western forces backing him. I hope this is not a guise to provide cover for those American troops that recently landed in Cameroon to penetrate our territory inappropriately. |

@Op, why would the guy admit they are back in Nigeria if it's a covert operation? Who admits Black Ops? 1 Like |
Re: Update: Vanguard Lied Nigeria Have Not Hired Mercenaries by xwolverine: 8:16am On Oct 23, 2015 |
PointB: He just gave the update in his Twitter feed, stating there's nothing covert to hide, while also indicting the US for the role they are playing in all of this. He usually would have stated that the details of the ops is classified or refuse to comment if he was not authorised to speak. But in this case, he was fast to dispute the rumours on multiple platforms he trusts, immediately he got an information on it. 1 Like |

xwolverine: If he was doing secretly (Black OPs/covert Ops) there is no way he would give any indication that he's involved. That's the whole essence of Black Ops - denial! A black operation or black op is a covert operation by a government, a government agency, or a military organization. This can include activities by private companies or groups. Key features of a black operation are that it is clandestine and it is not attributable to the organization carrying it out.-- Wikipedia |
