LEAVE THE NORTH WITHIN TWO WEEKS… NORTHERN YOUTHS TELLS IGBOS, YORUBAS AND SOUTH SOUTH



A group  of Northern youths, under Arewa Youth Development Foundation, on Tuesday, called on southerners in the north to relocate to their respective states to make room for northerner who would be returning home.

This ultimatum was contained in a statement read and jointly signed by the group’s national president, Mr Aliyu Usman and its secretary, Comrade Alfred Solomon, during a visit by the group to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sunusi II, in his palace.

The group alleged that for the past four years, a  policy of direct subjugation of the north and its people had been pursued by the Federal Government and its agencies, in collaboration with various  governments in the south.



The group described the   alleged crackdown on northerners in the name of Boko Haram, the recent arrest of all imams of Juma’at mosques in Abia State, the arrest of northern traders, the happenings at the  national confab,  among others issues, as regretable.

It added that “in the event that all the resolution failed, we call on all northerners to rise and support agitations for a peaceful dissolution of this union called Nigeria, for every region to go its own way.”

While addressing the youths, the Emir of Kano  called on youths to be ambassadors of peace and imbibe the culture of peaceful coexistence

He said: “We should not forget that it is natural for people of different minds and cultural backgrounds to live in one entity called a nation. I, therefore, urged you to imbibe the culture of peaceful coexistence.”

However, this story is an old recycled one being regurgitated by the OP and his ilk for the purpose of ongoing Igbo mischief and propaganda.

Yes the story is true, it happened back in 2014 in reaction to the illegal arrest, registration and deportation of northerners by southern states, that was clearly humiliating and discriminatory under the guise of security measures against boko haram.

There were understandably load outcries from various northern groups e.g.:

AYDF who not only condemned it but also called for similar retaliatory measures and failing that for the DISSOLUTION OF NIGERIA (yes north was the first to want to break away, since 1966 riots following the Igbo led coup; same sentiments were also echoed by the Lamido of Adamawa during the recent confab and lately by this youth group).

The same youth group (AYDF) determined, went further to draft a bill in Kano State House of Assembly (with intention for similar in all northern states) for issuance of ID cards for southerners residing in that state.

Initially the FG, under GEJ took no action but noting the seriousness of northern reaction and weighing the gravity of such threat if followed; it quickly intervened by placing an immediate ban on further registrations.

However, the biggest irony came from Igbos because after all their chest beating and bravado, like the FG, they too after weighing the implications of such retaliatory action against their ppl; the Ohaneze Youth Council quickly came out to counter and fault such call for peaceful dissolution of Nigeria as earlier proposed by their Arewa counterparts - this only goes to prove that Igbos are all mouth but deep inside they don't want the break up of this country, after all they are the ones benefitting most from One Nigeria.

Nigeria as a country need restructuring, even the British, US knew that Nigeria will break up one day. UK has 4 countries in it, eg Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Island, then ask yourself why they cannot be one country like Nigeria, USA has all it states operating as a semi independent country, immigration law in Texas is not the same with California, China has Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet and Macau as part of China which are all semi independent, without confederation in Nigeria there will be no peace, Nigeria need to go back to Aburi peace accord, Nigeria will never be a progressive country because Nigeria is made up of irreconcilable entities that cannot align, Nigeria is supposed to be made up of 5 countries eg Arewa, Biafra, Midland, Oduduwa and Niger Delta Republic, under confederation just like UK, China, Netherlands etc, Nigeria need this structure for peace to reign.
