The immediate past minister of petroleum in Nigeria, Mrs.
Diezani Allison-Madueke, is indeed facing both physical and
spiritual warfare.
That, stars or celebrities are humans and not angels, is a fact
after all.
The former powerful federal minister’s latest predicament,
arising from her trouble with the federal government over
alleged fraud committed while she held office, seems to be
weighing her down.
Since Diezani’s famed arrest in a London street three weeks
ago, things have not remained the same for her and
members of her family.
Thus far, since the Buhari government resolved to tighten
the noose on characters involved in the alleged stealing at
NNPC, sources said that Diezani’s family members have
been running from pillar to post, seeking spiritual solution
to the problem. In Lagos alone, we learnt that top Muslim
and Christian clerics were consulted to pray for a soft
landing for her.
Although, an inside source said that what the family
members were looking for was spiritual solution to her
reported cancer problem, for which she reportedly travelled
to a London hospital immediately after the expiration of her
tenure in office, but we heard it from other reliable sources
that the spiritual request was for her to be helped out of her
problem with the federal government.
To show their desperation for a quicker solution, sources
said that when the family members who were put in charge
of the special task could not convince some reputable clerics
for help, including disagreement over service fees to some
who demanded to be appreciated, they sought help from
Indian spiritualists. Two of the Indians we learnt that they
approached were based in the Southwest.
As we learnt, the Indians representatives reportedly asked
that the sum of N40 million be paid to a dedicated bank
account if anything must be done to help them. As at press
time, the former minister’s envoys were still holed up in
Lagos, deliberating on what next steps to take on their
special mission.
