Niger gov sends commissioner list to Assembly

The long-awaited names of commissioner nominees has been sent to the Niger State House by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello for screening.

Daily Times findings revealed that the governor gave the names of 15 commissioners to the Speaker late on Thursday evening but the list will not be unveiled until Monday’s sitting of the House.

It was also learnt that the 15 nominees were for the 14 ministries as recently rationalized, as well as the State Planning Commission that would be headed by a commissioner, whose statutory position is the Vice-Chairman of the Commission.
