Re: Governor Names Government Building After His Daughter.

My attention has been drawn to the above captioned story beibg circulated on social media.

My initial response was to ignore the usual ranting of Wailing Wailers but it is also vital to put the record straight as a lie told several times unchallenged, starts wearing the garb of truth.

It is unfortunate that such cocktail, false, deceitful and libelous story meant to bring the governor of Imo State to public ridicule as packaged by some social media practitioners who are purveyors of blackmail and lies.

Let me state as follows:

1. That the said building is the property of the Imo State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) located along Okigwe Road, Owerri.
2. That the owner of the building, a federal government body, reserves the right to name same after any individual it so wishes.
3. That there is no iota of truth that the state government named the building after the governor’s daughter as it is not a state owned building.
4. That discerning and intelligent reading public should beware of the enemies of the state who will stop at nothing in their bids to tarnish the image of the governor and the state government.

Imo Is Already Better.

what name was given to the Building?
I am not from IMO but from my cocoon here, I am not satisfied with the excuses of the SA (ICT) to the Gov.
An average intelligent youth in this country knows that offices of FG agencies especially Security offices are mostly built in states with the support of the State Govts, so that first point doesnt hold water.
The FG agency has the right to give any name to its properties but we also know some of the times, sycophancy can be taken very far..so if in anybody wants to pay the governor back for building a house for NSCDC then the governor or at least his henchmen must know the meaning of Corruption and Abuse of Office.
I have answered the third point, abeg, if na joke make dem stop am...
It doesnt take much of discerning and intelligence from reading public to identify government mouthpieces speaking gibberish..

In other words, it is Buhari Not Okorocha that named the building.

A typical political response: Do not lie, but do not say the truth either. Make it ambiguous, to keep them guessing.

Since FG owns the building, and reserves the right to name it after anyone it so desires, the response didn't specifically confirm that FG named the building after Okorocha's daughter. (I am almost certain FG didn't come up with this name. There is no reason for FG to honor the governor's daughter here)

What the boot-licking Special Assistant on Information should have done is to mention who, or what body came up with the name, so as to put the "lies and libelous stories" to rest, once and for all. But he didn't. He couldn't!

Finally, in their usual conclusion, every sort of opposition and call for accountability in Nigerian politics is always an opportunity to "blame your enemy who wants to tarnish your image". I'm sure the paid goon is giving himself a pat on the back for this empty rebuttal.

Rumors and deceits gain grounds when truth decides to keep quiet. He still didn't confirm who named the building, so let the rumors continue. Democracy made in Nigeria, for Nigerians.

What a featherweight response!

Baseless and farcical at best.
