Now, Let Me Air My View About Amaechi's Ministerial Quest.. by 175(m): 1:11pm On Oct 29, 2015
Correct me if I am wrong, from 1999 to date
which two term governor EVER hustled like an
upstart politician to become a minister?
The only one I know of that joined the presidency
was an ex-deputy governor who became a chief
of staff. A very high position that ministers
kowtow to.

Rivers state is about the richest state in Nigeria.
A forward thinking, ambitious politician who
knows his onus will use such a position,as two
term governor of such a state, to consolidate and
become a kingmaker and a godfather to be
reckoned with, like Tinubu did.

Amaechi is neither smart nor ambitious. What is
currently happening is like the ex-CEO of a
fortune 500 company running from pillar to post
to be made a branch manager of another
company in a backwater town. The height of
humiliation and a fall from grace. When he is
eventually employed, it would not be an
achievement for him, but a confirmation of his
new lesser status; a demotion.

Amaechi's present situation buttresses the
servant mentality that many from my region have.
He grovels and begs to be accepted into the inner
circle of his overlords. He practically sold his
people's commonwealth and brought it as a
gesture of his fealty to his master's feet. But still
it is not enough for him to be accepted to the
round-table where his lords dine. At best it buys
him the title of faithful servant, fit to run errands
for his king and go around town as the towncrier/
noisemaker.

I have seen kings walk, while servants ride on
horses..I am also seeing a houseboy become a
king and fights tooth and nail to become a
houseboy yet again.
