In October China made a drastic turn around in it's policy on child bearing that came as a surprise to many people. China reversed it's one child policy. Here are some of the reasons thought to have persuaded Beijing's decision.

The government says the one-child policy, officially in place since 1979, has prevented 400 million births. Parents have faced fines and other punishments for having more children.

An expert, Cai Yong of the University of North Carolina, has suggested the one-child policy may have triggered anxiety among couples causing them to be less fertile.

Another negative trend this policy had caused is the prevalent deaths of female children alleged to have been murdered by their families simply because traditionally they are seen as less able to get well-paid jobs than sons. According to the United Nations, in the 1970s, 60 males per 1,000 live births died under the age of one. For girls the figure was 53. In the 1980s, after the one-child policy became official, the rate for both was 36.

For each girl born in China there are 1.16 boys, sexually selective abortions have been cited as a major cause of China's unusual imbalance.

Another reason is the decline in the adult working population who cater for the elderly. By 2050, it's predicted that a quarter of China's population will be 65 or older. according to the data company Statista. The predicted decline in the number of people of working age seemst to be the major reason the Communist Party had to drop the one-child policy.

And in nigeria, a poverty stricken man will hav d temerity to have sex with his wife to gv birth to over ten children... These children will grow up and become hoodlums and touts in d society.. Thereby increasing crime rate...
