STERN AND KAY HOSPITALITY OPEN COURSE TRAINING COURSE OUTLINE Emphasis is placed on the importance of customer service and communication skills in service delivery in the hospitality industry. Participants will be exposed to the importance of building lasting customer relationship, roles and functions of a front desk staff, customer care personnel, Ushers and waiter/waitress as it relates to the service industry. Skills necessary for handling different types of customers, Time Management Skills, Multi-Tasking Skills and most importantly, People’s Skills will be learned in the course of the training programme. This training progamme will enable participants give amazing service, become faster, more efficient, and more amiable. In addition, participants will also be exposed to trends, integrated technology and its effects on guests in the Hospitality industry. COURSE OBJECTIVES At the end of the programme, participants will be able to: • Demonstrate an understanding of the scope of Hospitality. • Manage customer interaction and offer superior customer satisfaction. • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the essentials and methods of communication and how to make the most of them. • Get it right at the first time. • Be well-rounded and have an overall success in their career. COURSE STRUCTURE There are seven ( modules offered in the hospitality academy. The hospitality course runs for four (4) weeks. Participants are to attend the academy twice a week. The seven (7) modules are treated in three weeks while the fourth week is for class practical’s and tests. COURSE CODE COURSE TITLE Amount HAC 001 The Professional Waiter/Waitress 3,000 HAC 002 Hospitality Management 3,000 HAC 003 Hospitality Operations 3,000 HAC 004 Etiquette and Manners 3,000 HAC 005 Customer Service 3,000 HAC 006 Communication Skill 3,000 HAC 007 Personal Grooming 3,000 HAC 008 Health, Hygiene & Safety 3,000 DESCRIPTION • Participants will spend at least twenty-four (24) hours of directed study on the hospitality programmes at our facility. • The faculty instructors and industry mentors will provide and coordinate course objectives, applicable experiences, and evaluation. • Final grades will be calculated on the basis of continuous assessments, written final examination, and projects as well as satisfactory conduct during the duration of the programme as evaluated by faculty instructors. • Lectures will run from 9am to 2pm. WHO SHOULD ATTEND • This programme is open to individuals with any of the following qualifications S.S.C.E., OND, HND, and BSc, wishing to pursue a career in the Hospitality Industry. • Employees already working in the Hospitality Industry PAYMENT SCHEME • Payments are made to Stern & Kay Consulting Limited account - 4090143745 at Skye Bank Fees • Registration fee 1,000 • Each module costs N3, 000. • Discount if an organization brings more than 5 participants.
