Revealed:13 Reasons Buhari Did Not Attend Audu's Flag Off Rally In Kogi State by zakson4real(m): 11:16pm On Nov 03, 2015 |
Contrary to the face saving lies peddled by
Abubakar Audu's supporters in attempt to
rationalize the absence of P,resident
Muhammadu Buhari at the APC
gubernatorial flag off rally in Lokoja, here
are the real reasons Buhari was not in
Lokoja on October 31 and will not support
Audu: 1. Audu denied Buhari the opportunity of campaigning in Lokoja way back in 2003, when Buhari flew the flag of the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) for President. 2. Much as Audu was also of ANPP, he supported President Olusegun Obasanjo of the PDP for his reelection bid against the flag bearer of his own party. 3. Buhari is in possession of file documents and correspondences relating to Audu's gluttony and ostentatious lifestyle. 4. Audu's rampant acquisition of choice properties across the world-USA, UK, etc are known to Buhari who is furious with Audu's frugality. 5. Audu has a lingering EFCC case of N10.9 billion indebtedness to Kogi State Government. 6. Audu has demonstrated he is not a disciplined party man-refer to APC Gubernatorial Primaries Appeal Panel Report recommending the replacement of Audu as APC gubernatorial candidate in Kogi State for the November 21 election. 7. Audu openly criticized Buhari's choice of James Ocholi, SAN, as Minister-nominee, claiming he was not consulted by the president before the choice was made. 8. During the last APC presidential primaries, Audu extended his anti-Buhari posturing since 2003 when he stoutly opposed GMB and instead mobilized Kogi APC delegates behind former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State. 9. The body language of Buhari's closest ally, former President Obasanjo towards the Kogi State election is less than favorable to Audu, which is not lost on the president. Obasanjo, it will be recalled, said in his Abeokuta residence, during a recent visit to him by Governor Idris Wada: "It does not matter which party you are, either PDP, APC, Labour, APGA , any party at all, as long as you are committed, sincere and a purposeful leader, I am ready for you. And that is what our brother, Wada, is doing. I pray that this country will never be short of this type of people." Meanwhile, a day to the October 31 flag-off for Audu, Obasanjo revealed to Premium Times his correspondences to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offenses Commission, and the then National Security Adviser, NSA, Aliyu Gusau, when he (Obasanjo) was president and Audu was Kogi Governor, how he directed them to investigate Audu in relation to foreign assets acquisition as a sitting governor. Chief Obasanjo said he had based his advice to the ICPC and the NSA on a notification he got from the British Home Office. President Buhari is not deaf! 10. Audu's characteristic winner-takes-all attitude since picking the APC ticket, coupled with his simmering cold relationship with Buhari's men in Kogi APC, such as James Ocholi and Yahaya Bello a.k.a.Fairplus, is cause for concern. The APC candidate also relegated his co-contestants in the APC gubernatorial primary to the back seat refusing to toe the more honorable path of reconciliation and politics of inclusiveness. It is yet to be seen, for instance, which of Audu's near two dozen opponents in the August primary election is working with him to actualize his mandate. These have further put Audu in the president's bad books. 11. To underscore the President's reservations against Prince Abubakar Audu, the President refused to grant the erstwhile Kogi governor audience in Paris, when the President was guest of the French government early September, shortly after Prince Audu won the APC gubernatorial primaries in Kogi State. 12. In recent weeks, strenuous efforts by Prince Abubakar Audu to see President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja have ended at the bus stop of the Chief of Staff (COS) in the State House. This is because Mr President is resolved not to give Prince Audu the slightest of windows for any form of political propaganda. 13. Buhari was privileged to read his newspapers in the morning of Saturday October 31 2015, and gleaned at page 10 of the day's Saturday Trust, an advertorial which testified to the fact that all is not well with the APC in Kogi State. As the nation's Number One Citizen, he didn't want to come to a divided house, as it were. |
