The Lagos State University, Ojo was again lit as Downtown Promotion organized the second edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in LASU 2015 tagged “Beauty With Purpose”. Tuesday October 27th would forever be a day to remember in the heart of the entire LASU students. Many students were of the opinion that the organizers are indeed committed to rebranding the image of LASU thus opening the prestigious Lagos State University to the corporate communities.
The pageant paraded 16 charming ladies that keenly contested while displaying their beauty, intelligence and character. A 21 years old OlasimboYetundeAminat emerge winner with Sammy Olubukola Dona as the 1st Runner Up, AkinjayejuTemitopeIwalola as 2ndRunnner Up, Dada Olubukola Hannah as MBGLASU Model 2015 and Aguwa Vanessa Chinonso as Miss Charismatic.
Downtown Promotion is an affiliate of the Downtown Associates, a fast growing entertainment firm with the aim of bringing up a strong, purpose driven youth thus reaching out to the larger part of any population (youth). The MBGLASU 2014 maiden edition saw Queen Idowu Oluwatomisin emerged winner whereby she successfully did two (2) community projects including Cloth the Slum (Makoko) and Say No to Rape Campaign. An initiative that saw a University queen reaching out beyond the four walls of the institution which later earned her the only University Queen nominated for the Nigeria’s Goodwill Ambassador Award 2015.
The pageant witnessed the invasion of top Nigerian acts who thrilled the entire LASU community including CDQ, Suplia, Omobolar, Richie, etc and hosted by MC Ajele. It is sponsored by Sofy sanitary pads.
