sarutobie: You do not need to turn it to an insult. If you were born before '85 you would know that we won the maiden edition during his first regime and now that he's back we won it again. Free your mind and let your reasoning be opened before you attack others. 1 Like |

I wonder why golden eaglets go off after strings of excellent performances. I still remember when we all thought chrisantos, i'm not sure of the spelling, was destined for greater things, but now......http://exclusiveinfotainment..com/2015/11/arsenals-arsene-wenger-wins-octobers.html |

Amuneke showers praise on his boys after World Cup victory: After clinching a record fifth U17 title, the Golden Eaglets coach has paid tribute to his opponents while praising his players’ dedication Nigeria U17 head coach Emmanuel Amuneke has praised his team's performance in securing a win against Mali to win the Fifa U17 World Cup on Sunday. Two second half goals from Victor Osimhen and Funsho Bamgboye sealed a record fifth U17 title for the Golden Eaglets. Amuneke, a former African Player of the Year winner and part of Nigeria's victorious 1994 Africa Cup of Nations squad, paid tribute to his opponents while praising his boys' dedication. ''It was a beautiful and entertaining match. I think the people in the stadium enjoyed it today,'' Amuneke told Fifa.com. ''We knew that Mali are technically very strong, have great individual players and are very fast. "We wanted to make no mistakes but we lost the ball many times in the midfield in the first half. "But I don’t want to complain because they are all kids. We changed some things in the second half and made some substitutes. That brought us more safety in our game. We are thankful for everything,'' he said. After his successful career as a player, Amuneke's coaching stint has taken off to a great start that has culminated in the unveiling of talented young players like tournament record scorer Victor Osimhen and best player Kelechi Nwakali among others. "We wanted to bring the players to their dreams and we did it. Thanks for the support. We feel like we are at home," he said. "We have worked very hard for this success and we hope to continue. The players will go home now but their journey is not over yet. "Personally I’m really happy. I have football in my blood, as a player and as a coach. This is what I want to pass to my players.” The Nigeria Football Federation has expressed faith in the coach as he is expected to continue in his role with the Under 17s. |
