The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Friday, November 6, fingered ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan as the reason why they have failed to implement the N5000 monthly stipends for 25 million most vulnerable Nigerians as promised during its presidential campaign.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Party and Minster-designate, Lai Mohammed, in a statement said the non-implementation of the payment policy so far is due to the fact that it was not included in the 2015 budget, prepared by the Jonathan-led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP administration.

He called on the citizens to ignore the mischievous attempt by the PDP to “confuse and mislead them” on this issue.

The APC, and PDP, Senators on Wednesday, November 4, locked horns over a prayer asking President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately implement the payment of N5000 to jobless Nigerians as promised during the electoral campaign.

However, the move was countered by the APC Senators, almost leading to a breakdown of order in the Senate.
