Is it the economy that prevented the parties involved not to use protection? Or is condom that expensive?
WHAT if it's as a result of RAPE? undecided
I pity the mother. It must have been a very tough decision for her. Because the child doesn't look like "unwanted" one.
Well dressed with his/her drugs and strategically placed.

Thank God the parents of this child at least put the child somewhere safe where it could be found easily, wrapped up warmly. This baby was loved but some circumstance made it impossible for the parents to keep it. I pray it gets a good home.

IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THEY KEPT THE BABY WITH THE HOPE OF BEING ABLE TO NURTURE IT, BUT THE STATE OF THE ECONOMY MADE THEM RE-EVALUATE... I STILL LIKE THAT THE BABY WAS DUMPED ND NOT STRANGLED OR ABORTED... ATLEAST IT STILL GOT THE CHANCE TO LIVE

May God bless and keep this baby.
May God bless the mother of this baby

Looking at this child,it is obvious the mother had no intention of killing or letting him suffer, she gave him a chance at a better life, one she can not offer. I feel strongly she would be pained giving up her child.
Don't be surprised, she may even be among the crowd watching as the event plays out.

God bless you for not killing that child, tooto.

Ladies, if you cannot take responsibility of your actions please cover your legs and zip up

nor be to even cover leg. They should drink medicine on time to flush it. If u had unprotected s3x, take medication immediately. Dont wait until you miss ur period.

Medication before missing period is not abortion. medication after period is abortion. Young ladies should be educated and know the difference.

Pathetic! cry. After the 9months 'ordeal' someone in her right senses would think the best way to solve poverty(Or whatever the case may be) is to abandon this cute baby. May God forgive the mother and send the right family to rescue this innocent gift.

Dumping of babies by mothers are not always intentional, but may be the last option she had.
As much as I do not support her action, but certain critical situation calls for the 'survival of the fittest' especially in a 'jungle' like Nigeria
The blame spread across all and sundry: Government, Churches, Mosques, Corporate Sector, 'well to do' individuals and the society at large
I perceived a situation whereby the girl was impregnated somehow and could not cater for the baby
Who will she turn to? The government? The church or mosque? Even orphanage homes are filled and will turn you down. She may not even have the courage to go there.
Instead of castigating, we all have a role to play in helping those in need. In our immediate neighborhood and communities irrespective of the circumstances that brought about their woes
She has done her bit, by dropping the child at somewhere she believed someone will look after him. Maybe she could have done better if she had someone who could look after her.
She could have sold the baby, thrown him to the lagoon, or even worse.
May God watch over the baby and help us in this country.
