Arsene Wenger was named Premier League manager of the month award on Tuesday but still trails runaway leader Sir Alex Ferguson in the all-time rankings.

Wenger has now picked up 15 awards, his first coming in March 1998, but 13-time Premier League winner Ferguson collected 27 during 20 years managing in the reformed English top flight.

The Arsenal boss, who has been in charge for just over 19 years, would need to win the award every month until January 2017 to draw level with his former rival despite managing for only three fewer seasons.

However, the French tactician faces a tough task ahead both on the domestic and European front, with the club suffering of an injury crisis.

Fortunately, Arsenal can expect a number of key players to return after the international break, with the likes of Bellerin, Ramsey and Chamberlain all tipped to be ready in time for the trip to West Brom.
