A lady from Mbaise entered one chance motor
operated by one Okey from Umunkita and was robbed
of N70,000 last week. Today, when she was going to
Umuahia, she saw those one chance people in a golf car
and went to a policeman, asking him to come and help her but she was rebuffed. She mustard courage
and went to the once chance people when they were holed up at Ahiara junction, held their streering and
started shouting. They tried to escape by climbing the
demarcation but one agburu rushed them and broke
their windsrceen. Other people followed and caught
them but their leader escaped leaving behind the driver from Ngor- okpola and a Lady from Mgbidi. They
were brought out and beaten up before the police now
came and disperse the crowd. Their car was burnt in
the process. It was also gathered that their godfather,
a notorious 419ner from Umuokrika came out with
cutlass and started pursuing people. It would be recalled that this same group robbed a
woman going to Aba of N180,000 & and she
recognized their leader who tried to escape but
caught and beaten up.
