Newly appointed FCT Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Bello has taken over the mantle of leadership of the Federal Capital Territory with a promise to build on his predecessors’ achievements.

The Minister, who briefly met with some Directors of the FCTA/FCDA in his Conference room on Wednesday, was received by the new FCT Permanent Secretary, Dr. Babatope Ajakaiye and other senior officials of the FCT Administration.

While paying tribute to the former FCT Ministers, Alhaji Bello commended the staff of the Administration for the way they have worked to build a modern city from the scratch.
The Minister called for rededication from the staff to fast track the development of the entire Federal Capital Territory with sound infrastructure and services because “FCT is the nearest to public eyes so, its success or failure can easily be seen”.

He promised to work closely with all stakeholders to achieve the mandate of President Muhammadu Buhari thereby taking Abuja to greater heights.

Alhaji Bello thus, called for support to enable his Administration make Abuja a better place than it used to be.

Earlier, the former FCT Permanent Secretary, Engr. John Obinna Chukwu, FNSE, formally handed to the FCT Director of Treasury, Alhaji Ibrahim Bomai.

While handing over in a very brief ceremony, the former Permanent Secretary called for continued loyalty to the government of the day by all the staff of the FCT Administration.

Engr. Chukwu charged the staff to maintain high sense of patriotism by supporting President Muhammadu Buhari reiterating, “We have to join hands to continue to build Nigeria because we have no other country”.

He thanked the staff for the support and cooperation enjoyed and urged them to lend the same support to the in-coming Permanent Secretary.

Responding, the Director of Treasury, Alhaji Ibrahim Bomai appreciated the former Permanent Secretary for his uncommon service to the FCT and the country in general.

He prayed for his continued protection and guidance in his future endeavors.

I thought that APC and their Zombies said that GEJ led government did nothing in office, but a careful look at the new ministers addressing the staffs of their ministries, either they say they will ensure continuity or they will build on the successes of their predecessors. . The Zombies suppose be ashamed of themselves.
