Was at work this evening when a friend informed me that Captain Sa'ad is dead! I couldn't even fathom the situation but he confirmed it. I underwent NYSC orientation in Niger State, Paiko camp to be more precise The most popular name on camp was captain Sa'ad, his reputation preceeded him. At his name corpers trembled and fell in line, ensuring they weren't found wanting. A young but capable officer who served as Camp Commandant. Every platoon that made presentation during the camp nights had something to relate to him. He was complete fun yet completely stern. We hated him, but we loved him even more. He never hesitated to take photographs with Otondos as long as it was during the free hours. Even caught a randy married female corper and just when we believed she was gonna be sent home, he pardoned her. The terrorists have indeed taken a hero off Nigeria's defence but I pray others will spring up and defend this country till we are free from this menace. Rest in Peace Captain or whatever rank you had been promoted to, posterity will co.ti.ually remember you Seun Cc lalastica
