pls dont get fooled by the offer...its for selected sims...i just spoke with one of the customer care agent,i asked how to be among the so called whitelisted and she told me she doesnt know.....dont waste ur money buying new sim cos it wont work... have seen and heard of over 40 peeps that have tried it with same result of not Qualified...Airtel still remains the worst network ever

Quite frankly it's not about old or new SIMs.... The only SIMs airtel make eligible for these offers are SIMs that have been abandoned... SIMs that the owners hardly ever recharge.... Those SIMs are the ones Airtel make eligible, it's like an incentive to motivate the owners to use the SIM more..... That's how it works....

I can't see any mass media or airtel website when they said they offer 1g for N100 except forums and blogs unlike glo that publicly advertised 200mb for N200 valid 4 days. Airtel would only disseminate such information to selected lines that spend much money on data. Even if your line is 10 years and you spend less on data, you might not be qualified. They are at their prerogative to give discounts to whom they like and moreover it is their system that does that. Did you remember MTN surprise offer of 500mb for N500, N30 for N33,600 call credits, most persons didn't enjoy the offer because MTN programmed it that way.
