Ever since I first read about Doom, I've always wanted to play it. We did not own a computer at the time, and I read about console ports that were coming out, all to consoles I did not own, like the 3DO, the Sega 32X, and the Atari Jaguar. But when I read in the pages of Nintendo Power that Doom would be released on the Super Nintendo, my reaction was, "What? Really? Cool!" I had thought that Doom would be released on the upcoming Nintendo 64, which was originally called the Ultra 64. Turns out, a special exclusive version would be made for that system.
