Among all the core traits most essential in a leader, CREDIBILITY is widely considered the foundation of great leadership. Here are some of the leadership qualities that single out Senator Buruji Kashamu and place him among great political scholars and leaders with great repute.
COMMITMENT. In this present political circle, while some leaders often commit to things they don’t mean or act in a manner that is inconsistent with what they say – SBK always stand out by demonstrating great commitment to any political assignment or any humanitarian needs in the society. He(SPBK) daily demonstrates great qualities, ensures a smooth and excellent advice is provided when there is any absence of qualitative direction within his political family. He proffers an excellent lead way to get the required result and he doesn’t just show the way, he leads the way.
HAPPINESS FOR ALL. There are times a leader is faced with an unrealistic expectation of keeping all the stakeholders happy. Sometimes this can be an impossible task but in the case of SBK, he is always on point and derives pleasure in keeping the political family as well as his supporters happy with or without external support.
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION. SBK is a leader that inspires thousands of people to exceed their potentials and push themselves to greater heights. He encourages them to display authenticity, no matter how tempting or intimidating it is to say things that are either not true or cannot be fulfilled.
BEING ORIGINAL. It is important to remember that people always trust and follow those who are “REAL” in their actions and words. SBK is a real leader with a perfect self-esteem.
TRUST. Great leader like SBK always understand the importance of trust in leadership. This can only be maintained if other leaders of today in Ogun State PDP and the nation in general “WALK THE TALK” by:
1. Not making commitments and promises that cannot be met;
2 .Always putting the interest of the masses and your political party on higher priority over self-interest;
3.Willing to communicate in an open, honest and transparent manner, not just as required but proactively;
4. Owning up when things don’t go as planned rather than blame someone else;
Not taking short-cut or manipulate others to get to an end.
5.In essence, SBK always live by his words and actions. He strives to be honest to everyone and state the facts to its supporters, political party as well as other political leaders. He makes every effort to live up to the qualities of a leader.
In other words, “if you are going to talk the talk, you’ve got to walk the walk”
