Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest campaign and initiative to promote entrepreneurship. Each year, it plays a critical role in encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs to consider starting up their own business.
From the 16-22 November, Global Entrepreneurship Week inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors—introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.
In Nigeria the chief host for the international initiative is the famous Enterprise Development Center (EDC) Lagos, Nigeria.

Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of the Pan-Atlantic University was set up as a direct response to providing a holistic business development and support services to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria. Established in January 2003, EDC started as Enterprise Development Services (EDS), providing capacity building programs and a variety of wrap around services such as advisory services, mentoring, experts-in-residence, network meetings, access to market & information, implementation of organizational plans and more. EDC is the host of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Nigeria.

YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS OF NIGERIA (YEN) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization and a Nigerian business association of like-minds and determined young entrepreneurs from the ages of 18-45. The slogan of the organization is Achieving Together, Building Nigeria.
The aims and objectives of the organization include:
i. To empower, support and encourage the participation of young Nigerians in entrepreneurship and business
ii. To raise and build future world-class entrepreneurship leaders that will create positive impact to Nigeria and the world socially and economically.
iii. To develop the competence of members and encourage integrity among members who are engaged in entrepreneurship.
iv. To promote and protect the professional interests of its members.
iv. To collaborate with relevant government institutions and other organizations in proffering solutions to issues affecting young people in entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
