Glo Ghana's Sudden And Unjust Call-rate Increment To Nigeria by jchris8701: 12:22pm On Nov 18, 2015 |
It is no longer news that most African countries (especially within West-Africa) see Nigerians as the 'Big Spenders'. Here in Ghana, international call rates (from Ghana to Nigeria) used to be .14 pesewas Per minute, but suddenly sky-rocketed to .30 pesewas per minute without customers' notification/ awareness. Usually, I get to spend at least 14 mins if i load two cedis (Ghc 2) airtime to call home (Nigeria) but to my surprise, last night's call was truncated at about Six minutes 58 seconds (6:58sec) leaving me dumbfounded, annoyed and cheated I decided to call Glo customer care (here in Ghana) just to know why the call duration has suddenly dropped so low.The Glo customer agent I spoke with couldn't give a reasonable answer other than "the IDD rate to Nigeria has been changed from .14p to .30p" without prior notice or any form of public awareness. It's high time Nigerians rose up and tackle the Unfair advantages neighboring countries, especially Ghana, take over Nigerians within their 'geographical space' GloGhana should revert to the previous call rate if they don't want Nigerians in Ghana to neglect their Network as a lot of Nigerians, myself inclusive, here are outraged by this recent unfair act. |
