Well, I am one of them but I still do not understand how I got you into this. A lower deposit rate should translate to a lower borrowing rate which should be positive for business and the economy.

My concern is that deposit rates are usually not lower than inflation rate, else folks are not going deposit their funds with the bank. This is economics pal, so you can ignore your political bias for now.
