Here's a concise review of Elnathan John's sensational debut novel: Born on a Tuesday Born on a Tuesday is a bildungsroman that revolves around the life of Dantala, a young man, who transitioned from being a wayward Almajiri in Bayan Layi to become the second in command of one of Sokoto’s biggest Islamic movement. He would eventually become entangled in the vicious web that is religious fundamentalism and politics...
