SaharaReporters citizen journalists have submitted unconfirmed voter tallies from across Kogi State. These early vote tabulations indicate that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has a slight lead over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.

Free/fair elections are the bedrock of any democracy.
You get it right and a lot of things fall in place.
It doesn't always gives you the best candidate, but it ensures the winner stays on his/her toe and tries to perform to the best of his/her ability or get booted out.
Wada because he has never known what it meant to win an election where the people's choice decided the winner, took everything for granted and paid the ultimate price.
Where in the world in a free democracy does a governor who can't build a single road, can't pay salaries,even if it means borrowing from "friends/family",can't keep a city minimally clean and certainly cudnt provide a single authentic job, hope to get re-elected,even if he casts a spell on his subjects?
Wada's case was so pathetic that even if APC had presented a former felon as its candidate,he wud have defeated him in a free/fair election.
Its probably only in the era just past gone that such a governor can even go into such election with the hope of getting a 2nd term because they have always blived that there are other, dubious ways to win elections.
Hopefully, never again!
It's a wake up call to Audu. Even if he won't be eligible for reelection,having had a previous term, he shud try to write himself into positive history and leave a legacy that wud help the next APC candidate to have an easy sail as he has had.
