embarassedI know I am not the only one that hated it when mother cooked n served me the fish head. The empty Fish head with no flesh only bones. When we where little we all hated the thing including my mom and step dad. The fish head was destined to land in one of the kids food. I used to come home early n exchange the fish head If I had it. There was so many of us so we all had only 1 meat.If the fish head landed on your plate then I am sorry for U ooo.Everyone else will be chewing on the sweet fish n U will be choking on the various bones found in the fish head. How can I forget the Big Rock that is always in the head of the fish. Talk about insult upon injury. cry

I hate fish head but it was never really served in food at my house. It was just an extra for whoever wanted it.

How big are you guys that someone gets the fish head as their share? shocked

well, i am not a big fan of fish, any part of fish, so naturally i wont like the head, more so, my mom never really served us fish head bcuz she knows we hardly liked the other parts of the fish in the 1st place and that it will most likely end up in the trash but i can feel ur pain

NO, That was when we where growing up in Lib.There where so many of us in the house back then so the fish head went to someone. wink

Sukpa liberian,no wonder america feels like heaven.

Anyway,fish head is good,especially when it is something like tilapia fish,it's got some reasonable chunk of flesh attached to its head and it is juicy as well.

Eat more steamed or baked fish,it is good for u.

I remember those days in boarding school where we all fight for fish head in the bowl of soup, it actually came to a time where we had a rota for whose turn it is to get the fish head.
Reason being the remaining fishes are usually very very tiny so getting the head was the lesser of two evils!

I used to detest fish heads.I dont even waste my time cooking it,i throw it away.  angry
But then,all that changed when i got married,my hubby loffs it and i have tried it most times.Not too bad anyway, . .They even have a special name for it. . . . Gearbox.

How can anyone hate fish head? Have you tried it when it's deepfried? Have you tried the jaw bones? (that taste like biscuits?), what about that soft crunchy bone under the brain? Or even the brain itself? What about the eyes? tongue.

There is nothing in Fish Head. Its all bones and moooooore bones.I love meat and flesh on my fish.
