President Muhammadu Buhari is presently in Iran on a state visit to attend the 3rd Gas Exporting Countries Forum holding in Tehran, Iran.

President Buhari was received by President Hasan Rouhani of Iran, on Monday while he also delivered his address at the plenary session of the forum.

On the sidelines of the ongoing forum, Nigeria’s minister for foreign affairs, Mr George Onyeama held bilateral talks with Iran’s foreign minister, Javaz Zarif

The Gas Exporting Countries Forum comprises of 11 leading natural gas producers in the world who jointly control 70 per cent of the world’s natural gas reserves and 38 per cent of the pipeline trade. The countries, including Nigeria are meeting to discuss enhancing trade relations and stable energy market.
