PDP chieftain, Chief Bode George, on Monday advised the government of President Muhammadu Buhari against using force on pro-Biafran protesters, warning that Nigeria cannot survive another civil war.

George, who gave the advice during his 70th birthday celebration in Lagos on Monday, also urged the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to stop their protests.

George said, “I want to plead with the Biafran protesters to be patient and I urge them to tread softly. No nation goes to civil war twice and survives. We are still meandering to build nationhood.

“Let us build this nation together. We must ensure that everyone has a sense of belonging. Sharing of resources and appointments should not be a winner-takes-all affair. Let us debate and deliberate over our affairs. Dismembering the system through protests and agitations is not the solution.”

He however said that secession was not the answer to the problems of Nigeria, urging Igbo leaders and the group to hold talks with the government.

The agitation for Biafra movement became fervent when democracy collapsed in Nigeria this year. We are now experiencing autocracy, sectional appointment, selective anti corruption war, ruling party judiciary coincidence, economic disasters and insecurity.

We, The People want out of this forced entrapment in order to build a democratic Nation we can call our own. Nigeria is not and has never being ours - It's Oyibo man's failed experiment.

The guy has an over bloated sense of his own importance in Nigeria. Fact is that the Igbos in Lagos if they want can determine who would rule that state for the next 30 yrs, they have the numbers and the resources.

Why are pdp members always quick to condemn the President and the Apc on matters that concerns Biafra? Aren't they making it obvious to us they are the one who is financing the project.?
