will now be made abroad to foreign news agencies and
journalists while your government does askor and silence
at home. That is fine. No wahala. But make those policy
pronouncements abroad consistent for God's sake!
The same day you make pronouncements about your
determination to fight corruption from faraway Tehran,
saying that nobody with yam issues would go
unpunished, etc, Femi Adesina issued a statement on
your behalf from the same Tehran extolling the virtues of
a dead politician indicted for corruption by your own
anti-corruption agency! You cannot be fighting
corruption with one part of your mouth and extolling the
virtues of those indicted by your own anti-corruption
agency with the other side of your mouth. Since death
washes as white as snow in Nigeria, the best you could
have done was dignified silence...
2) Senator Ike Ekweremadu
The ultramodern suggestion box of the Senate has finally
been launched. Lovely photos of the ribbon cutting at
the commissioning ceremony. Allah be praised for that
significant national development milestone. We have
agreed that mediocrity defines us so I have no problem
at all with commissioning a suggestion box. I have a little
problem with Senator Ekweremadu.
The Hausa Senators in the photo are wearing the regular
Hausa fila at the ribbon cutting. It is just fashion. No
problem here at all. That is what they wear regularly. No
heightened symbolism.
But you, you wear that chieftaincy red cap to the
commissioning of a suggestion box? That red cap has
heightened symbolism. Do you know the meaning of that
red cap on your head?
For this crass efulefutization of the red cap, whoever
gave it to you should withdraw it. Next, you will wear it
to the official ribbon cutting ceremony to commission
your Facebook page.
