I am close to Anambra dudes and iv noticed this trend. They seem not to be in a hurry to settle down and at the same time lose taste of their ladies who are in their early 30s in preference of younger ladies.

Here on nairaland, iv met ladies who demand "serious rshps that would lead to marriage" upon first contact. I realise that they are in their early 30s.

Ordinarily, these ladies in their younger age wish to marry from their homeland but are forced to look elsewhere when they peak in age.

We get married only when we're well placed financially. This enables us take good care of our wives and kids.

An igbo man likes to have everything first before marriage. Its a general thing and not just anambra. That's why their ladies find it difficult at times to get married. And the cost of marrying in the east is a major concern as well.
I have seen someone abandon a marriage right at the middle of the ceremony because they were milking him dry with fees to pay.
How can you calculate all the girls school fees from primary one to uni and expect a young man to pay all in the name of marriage?

Anyways i love igbo girls cus my present damsel is from enugu but i don tell her say if the time reach na joint contribution (osusu) we go do for the marriage.
