Everyday, science comes out with new innovations, the most recent is a substitute for Wi-fi which is called LI-FI Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) is a bidirectional , high speed and fully networked wireless communication technology similar to Wi-Fi . Develiped by Prof. Harald Haas. It has been tested to be capable of transmitting up to 1Gb/sec. And is a good substitute to wifi in places such as hospitals and aircrafts where Wi-fi radio interference is to be avoided. Disadvantages: it experiences interference and poor performance in direct sunlight and is affected by walls. What do you think |

I think it will get better with time. Transferring 1G/s is a welcome idea though. |
